At @ethbelgrade, @michprev demonstrated how static analysis affected recall in an AI audit. Three GPT-5.6 models audited the same Go codebase with and without static-analysis MCP tools. Recall is the percentage of known issues found. Out of 55: Sol: 38 with MCP tools, 39 without Terra: 32 vs 34 Luna: 32 vs 32 Static analysis improved recall for 0 of 3 models. ▮

1/ Just finished my talk at @Web3SecSummit during @belgradebw 🫡 Traditional fuzzers: 73/153 bugs after 8h. AI-guided fuzzing with Wake: 153/153 in 79 min. Measured on the Daedaluzz benchmark. So, what are my takeaways? 🧵⬇️

3/ AI likes the easy way out. Simple flows first. External contracts mocked. Hard integrations postponed. Getting from a fuzz test that works to one that actually models the full system is the hard part.

4/ Traditional fuzzing alone has reached its limits. The path forward isn’t replacing the fuzzer. It’s putting AI in the loop. AI builds the model. The fuzzer explores it at scale. The fuzzer executes. The model finds the bugs.

Fuzzing isn't dead. Or is it? 👀
SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 AI can already find smart contract bugs by reading code. So, do we still need fuzzing? @michprev, author and lead developer of Wake, joins Web3 Security Summit to answer exactly that. See you in Belgrade 🫡

For the upcoming Wake 5.0 release, I’m adding an MCP server that will give AI agents direct access to Wake’s Solidity analysis capabilities, alongside improved support for AI-driven fuzzing. Big thanks to @TheDAOfund, @wintermute_t, and everyone who contributed! 💙 3/3

Funding helps bring: • High-quality static analysis for LLMs via MCP • AI-compatible fuzzing for autonomous large-scale audits • AI vuln. explanations + fix suggestions in VS Code The goal: better tools for defenders.

still can't believe the solidity team hasn't prioritized solving stack too deep at any cost lol, "let's instead let's do a new solidity language nobody asked for" smh
