One of the challenges in using #RL for #robotics is that skills learned by robots in simulation do not typically transfer well to real-world robots. IndustReal focuses on solving these skills and transferring these capabilities to the real world. nvda.ws/43t3m2J

Very cool tool to view code in Github using VS Code. It's a 1-step instruction to get it to work with any repo. github.com/conwnet/github1s

Excited to share this project with my collaborators Rob Kovacs, Mike Sinclair, @Eyal_Ofek @cholz @edcutrell on a multimodal haptic and audio system with the goal of making #VR experiences more inclusive~ It received a #CHI2020 Honourable Mention.
Until recently, virtual reality has been centered on visual experience. Explore how researchers made an enhanced VR system for people who are blind, which uses haptic & auditory feedback to shift this paradigm & create new experiences: aka.ms/AA83cfy #CHI2020

President Trump just said he likely was distracted by the impeachment trial and that impacted his response to coronavirus. That is a remarkable admission.

let's un-Fox this boast: South Korea is testing far more people *per capita* than the US. we still lag far behind. that said, the vast majority of testing is being done in New York, and that's to the credit of Gov. Cuomo, and not your own glory-hogging self

This sounds like North Korean propaganda. Only the rich and famous have been tested in America while the middle class are told to meet very stringent CDC criteria for testing and the poor, the homeless, and the uninsured are told to go away and die on the streets like animals.

Just so we're all clear, Trump says he won't use the Defense Protection Act to order companies to make more equipment to save lives because he "doesn’t want to interfere in the free market." Explain to me how bailing out corporations isn't interfering in the free market?

As a former secretary of labor, I can tell you that we shouldn't be talking about stimulating the economy or going back to work. We should be talking about shutting down the economy and keeping people home, with enough money so they can pay their bills. THREAD.

If you want a Waze style of tracking Covid-19 check this out covidnearyou.org/ it will probably be more accurate given the scarce number of tests there have been...
“GOP *refusing to increase $ for hospitals,* but HAVE increased corporate bailout $.” The Senate GOP plan is corrupt. Their greed & incompetence is going to get people killed. Others will be displaced, or unable to eat. They‘re holding our country hostage for a Wall St payday.
THE POSITIONING BEGINS — here are some problems with the bill, as flagged by a democrat. Big four plus mnuchin meeting this am.

Few things inspire as much fear and dread within the Asian American community than the President of the United States scapegoating us and calling the coronavirus the Chinese Virus during a pandemic that has disrupted our lives and social order and subjected us to hate crimes.

Food workers. Grocery clerks. Cashiers. Delivery drivers. Warehouse stockers. They were never “unskilled workers.” They were always essential. And it’s WAY past time they got the respect they deserve w/ a living wage, paid sick leave, guaranteed healthcare, hazard pay, & more.

Why is Donald Trump refusing to listen to hospitals and doctors to get the federal government working as hard as it can to make masks, ventilators, and tests for American citizens? Why is he still refusing to fight this pandemic aggressively? Terrible! nytimes.com/2020/03/21/busin…

We don’t have enough coronavirus tests for everyone. Many patients with symptoms can’t even get tested because of the CDC’s very stringent criteria. Yet Senator Rand Paul, who voted to prevent testing for others, somehow gets tested without having symptoms. Positively outrageous.

The major need that hospitals across the country are echoing: PPE supplies and equipment. COVID is set to spike. There aren’t enough masks, gloves, ventilators, beds, etc to treat people. Trump needed to order mass production over a week ago to save lives. He didn’t.
There it is. Trump admits he has NOT used the Defense Production Act to get companies to produce the amount of protective equipment American health workers desperately need. This is a complete failure of leadership. Period .#coronavirus #GetMePPE

Every minute, hour, & day that Fed action is delayed on Coronavirus puts lives at risk. The House has been hammering away at a coronavirus relief package. We just called in every member to vote on & pass a deal at almost 1am. #WheresMitch McConnell? Taking the weekend off.
