When anyone asks me for a recommendation of a film they've never heard of, I always cite Lynne Littman's TESTAMENT. This is one of the most quietly terrifying films I have ever seen. And it's finally coming to blu ray in the US from Criterion next year. criterion.com/films/34202-te…

I wish there was a weatherman for outrage, so we'd get a little heads up on how bad shit was about to get.
I'm not one to yuck someone yum, but in our house this is the song we've deemed as the worst song of all time. My kids play it at random just to annoy me. youtube.com/watch?v=0L9MvzYC…
I was lucky to catch TOGETHER last night, and it is such a special film. The ultimate date movie. Comes out next week. Go go go: letterboxd.com/michaelmohan/…
Last week, I watched The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 for the first time, and I was struck by a sign in the background of the radio station scenes. Don't know why, but I knew I needed it.
This was incredible. In 75 minutes, Demi singlehandedly solved racism. Y'all gotta check it out when it's on @dropout.

M3GAN 2.0 is pure fun. RT audience score, CinemaScore, and test screenings all beat the first one. Some articles say it was 'too original'-- fuuuuck that. If you love Gerard's voice as a filmmaker, you gotta see what he pulled off.
Apparently my new year's resolution was to finally watch all of the films I've been meaning to see my whole life but somehow never got around to, but my god: THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR. Even better on the 2nd watch.
Can't believe it's taken me this long to see WAIT UNTIL DARK. Audrey Hepburn, my god. youtube.com/watch?v=iNWNJYRV…
This month I've watched a bunch of films that somehow slipped through the cracks for me. Can't believe I hadn't seen these: OLDBOY, THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR, ROLLING THUNDER, DEATH WISH, and the one that I enjoyed the most: THE CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS MOVIE.
I wrote the introduction to @JeffRauseo's great new book LOST IN THE STREAM. It's a really thoughtful look at how algorithms have changed how and what we watch. Comes out in August, available to pre-order now.
Sneak peek for my followers - my book is now live to pre-order! Lost in the Stream is a deep dive into how algorithms and streaming have systematically changed the movies are made, and watched.
