Fun fact: Every one of these incredibly talented musicians was once a cast member of Jersey Boys—and, of course, we all know the group has its roots right here in Belleville, NJ.
When they heard the mayor who helped bring Belleville back was in the house, they called me up for a photo! They were absolutely phenomenal.
Another outstanding evening at Joe Calabro’s annual IBEW event. Joe always hosts a first-class party, and it’s an honor to be invited each year.
Why? Government is so far behind the technology curve that when they talk about “secure elections,” their solution (well some) is asking voters for a piece of paper. How about the blockchain? The private sector is building trust with cryptography and distributed ledgers. Urg.
Thank you!

Look up #BellevilleNJ the drones are back. All over tonight.
Fun wedding today. The happy couple thanked me for giving My Chemical Romance the Key to the City.
So I gifted them the red cherry blossom lapel pin I wore on stage that night. @MCRupdates1
My pleasure to be on today with Fernando Uribe. Great time chatting as always!

The left: mobs of people attacking other people because someone hurt their feelings.
The right: mobs of people attending memorial ceremonies and raising the US flag.
I may not be a conservative but I'm pretty sure I can see a difference here.
Thank you for having me. I’m sure @MCRofficial fans will love the behind the scenes perspective.
Mayor @michaelmelham was kind enough to talk with me about the @MCRofficial key to Belleville event at @MetLifeStadium this past weekend, sharing so many funny & great stories about the day and the lead up to the presentation!
Thank you Mayor!

The cherry blossoms? A nod to Belleville, NJ — Cherry Blossom Capital of America. The wheat? Yes, I have it. And the MCR fan base? Incredible. Feedback on my posts has been 99% positive. Fans love the behind-the-scenes stories, & I’ll keep sharing. ❤️ (8/8)
Gerard announces I’m there to “bestow a great honor.” Crowd erupts. As I walk out, manager mouths: “Frank will take the Key.” I keep remarks short, respectful, impactful. Then… the band gives me wheat & a REAL (yes, dead) fish wrapped in cherry blossoms. (7/8)
The 1st piano note of Black Parade hits. Stadium explodes. I’m thinking: “Great… now I’m about to stop one of the most iconic songs EVER.” Clerk pulls Gerard, song stops. Close-up shows Gerard hysterically laughing at whatever Clerk whispered. (6/8)
I watched from backstage: podium rolls out… NO MIC. Clerk brings the step… NO MIC. Crowd roars, quiets, roars again as Gerard circles the podium. Still no mic. I’m yelling to crew: “No mic!” Radios light up. Gerard hears, grabs a wireless himself. (5/8)
We agreed I’d need my own mic at the podium. I’d watched enough Black Parade shows to know the moment the podium rolls out — usually 5th or 6th song. That night, things moved FAST. A song or two in, the manager came to get me. This was it. (4/8)
The band uses earpieces to avoid stadium echo. My remarks would (hopefully) draw applause, & I didn’t want to step on my own timing. I told Gerard. He smirked: “Yeah, it’s not going to be easy.” Translation: No earpiece for me! LMAO. (3/8)
Walk on stage before 52,000+, give brief remarks, present the 1st-ever Key to the City of Belleville, maybe receive a token back from them, exit. Easy. Was I nervous? No. Just wanted to get it done. My only worry? Production. Specifically… the mic. (2/8)
After our backstage meet-and-greet & stage walkthrough w/ @MCRofficial, I still had more Q’s than answers. At one point, firing them off rapid-fire, Gerard just laughed: “Yeah… I’m just gonna need you to work with me when we’re up there.” 😂 The plan? Simple… (1/8)
Just a couple of Belleville guys! @MCRofficial received custom Belleville, NJ street signs & individual Keys to the City in a private meet/greet prior to Saturday’s show at MetLife. Later on, during an on stage presentation, they received an oversized ceremonial Key to the City
