This👇 (Although Bolt doesn’t mention the seemingly inexcusable delay in bringing charges forward)
Andrew Bolt goes rogue and deviates massively from News24's Ben Roberts-Smith script. I'm going for a lie down.

I hear Carlson a bit differently here. Yes, he's definitely suggesting he'd be fine with the Nazis winning. the war and defeating Britain. But what comes through for me is the profound intellectual and moral unseriousness. It's a kind of debater's nihilism that thinks any good sounding talking point is a good point. For instance, he says at least if Germany won, Britain would be speaking a "European language." That sounds clever to un-clever people. But it's moronic on its own terms (Would Tucker be okay with Americans speaking Spanish? That's a European language, too). It reduces the interests and issues involved in WWII down to a ridiculous single metric. It's childish bullshit, but it sounds sophisticated to the insipid and the ignorant and it thrills those who understand the trolling of it. And that's why this interview is representative of Tucker more broadly these days. He's at sea. Nothing really matters except "winning" the conversation, the moment, the clicks. He's embraced a kind of Nietzschean amoralism that thinks sowing doubt in any notions of right v wrong, good v evil, traditional patriotism v transgressive iconoclasm is self-rewarding. "Neocons" and their ilk think Putin is bad? I'll claim he's awesome with the dumbest arguments imaginable packaged like they're smart. Similarly, Tucker likes to traffic in the idea that Hitler should have won, not because Tucker's a big believer in Nazism. He's not a big believer in *anything* other than the bit itself. He likes the idea that the Nazis should have won, because he likes turning over turtles and being a dick for the amusement of people who celebrate dickishness. More specifically, he also likes it because the argument that it was a good thing we defeated the Nazis is inconvenient to him and his pet causes. That America and the UK were the good guys still has heft, substance, and authority, and Tucker's whole transvaluative approach is to burn down good things with weight and substance by elevating evil bullshit into seriousness to prove his own transgressive courage. Every argument is permitted and equally valid because all truths are equally just matters of opinion. The superior opinion isn't the one with the better facts or the better reasoning, it's just the one more confidently or sneeringly expressed. That's why this interview went badly for Tucker, because he ran into someone who actually knows true things and is confident in what he knows. This is also why Tucker spends most of his time talking to cranks, bigots, weirdoes, and hacks who are good at sounding like experts so long as their bullshit goes unchallenged. Tucker doesn't give a rat's ass about ideas or history. He cares about vibes and sowing moral doubt about what is good by hawking moral support for what is bad. The Holocaust becomes a triviality in that project, which in a very real way, is worse than denying it happened. He's denying it didn't really matter much if it did.
Tucker saying he wishes Hitler had won World War II was absolutely on my 2026 bingo card

To my conservative Christian friends. Especially those who consider themselves fundamentalists. The day may come, and may already be here, when you are going to have to decide if you are going to follow Christ or choose kinism at the least and outright racism at the worst. The evidence that this toxic type of bigotry masquerading as Christianity is not fringe but has infiltrated significant portions of the church is becoming stronger every day. religionnews.com/2026/09/24/…

I asked ChatGPT what odds it gives AI of ending the human race. 7% by 2100 I’m sure everything will be fine.

Dear Premier Minns, Forego the gaming revenue. Tax us instead. You’re the biggest problem gambler in this state, staking the poor and vulnerable to fund the budget. We’d rather pay more tax than watch you stay in bed with an industry built on other people’s misery. Do it.

🧵One could read the fall of Adam & Eve as a case of theft/stealing (i.e., taking that which was not theirs to take): "When the woman saw the fruit of the tree was good for food & pleasing to the eye & also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some & ate it" (Gen 3:6). /1

Three of the speakers at the anti-AUKUS public inquiry have recently been on multi-week tours of China and went to the PRC consulate in Melbourne to give an account of the trips and it was written up in PRC state media. Ok. global.chinadaily.com.cn/a/2…

Some will say: “But I’m not Fletcher. I didn’t do anything” & that’s the problem We’ve had a culture where a prolific abuser has been lauded for decades Surely we need a larger conversation lest other abuse continues Cultural change is more than an occasional eloquent statement

When simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth.

This is a must watch interview with @BenSasse and @DouthatNYT "In Christianity, the need for daily repentance is just a truth. I am broken. I leave undone those things which I ought to have done..." "I've continued to feel a peace about the fact that death is something that we should hate...yet it's pretty good that you pass through the veil of tears one time and then there will be no more tears, there will be no more cancer..."

“A whole civilization will die tonight” sounds uncomfortably like what the Oracle at Delphi told Croesus of Lydia before he attacked Persia. If we really are committed to the destruction of an entire civilization then we have lost our own.
President Donald J. Trump posted to Truth Social just minutes ago, stating, "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again." I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will."

Why do people turn to religion and what can the church offer that they can't get elsewhere? The Reverend Fergus Butler-Gallie says that churches that simply preach and tell people to be 'nice' sometimes miss the point, and that a church can offer something that is strange, distant and deep. @_F_B_G_ | @holland_tom
