You might think this is fake but it’s 100% real. Remember the entire e-safety office (and kids social media ban) was set up because zoomers were bullying our prime minister online.
According to the @eSafetyOffice you are a dangerous far right incel if you either A. hate women or B. are fiber-maxxing.
What a time to be alive. You can send some lyrics to suno, get some backing music and mash together some timeline clips from X in about 10 minutes.
went to watch a blender tutorial to make a model for a 3D print but it was like 4 hrs long so I just forked blender and added some agent tooling in about half the time. Will it be better than a blender expert? No. Will it be better than me with no experience with blender? probably (hopefully)
I like to believe that the immigrants in France aren’t violent animals, but instead the reason they are all wearing hoods and head coverings is because there are little rats controlling them doing the actual looting. A little ratatouille situation.
Had an agent working on a Python project and another working on a C++ one. walked past my desk and saw an apple alert for OOM crash saying using 200GB of memory. Then my entire system rebooted. Guess which project caused it. (It was Python)

Kanto banned this practice in 1999 but a black market still exists for the elite
I’ve been vibe coding a prototype just to get the flows and screens in a way I’m happy with before doing a proper build and somehow we are at 100k lines of rust code with basically all functionality stubbed and a fixture SQLite database. How is this possible? I have maybe 5 screens and no backend.
Also the original GPUI prototype I started with just to test a11y and interaction events etc and understand the api was all still somehow in the code base even though I asked the LLM to replace it as we moved to actual proper prototyping (including all its automated test suites).
I’ve been working on automatic research harnesses (for tractable problems not solving math conjectures etc) with LLMs for a few months now and they have this strange failure mechanism which makes it hard for them to change direction. It’s something akin to a “deceptive search space” and an anchoring effect. But they just seem incapable of radically new approaches when they hit a dead end.
The under appreciated thing is that as your ability to reproduce any existing software increases, so does the opportunity cost of actually doing so (because instead of building your own X, you could have also been building Y or Z instead). Time and attention is finite and the cost is still non zero.
Can I just say how tired I am of these kinds of remarks? They're getting more and more common as the internet has become armchair experts on all software and businesses.
We build best in class software and make it available completly free. No one else in our category does that. No one. Don't want it? Dont use it.
Sentry will absolutely run just fine on 32gb of memory, but thats not even the point. Its complex. That complexity comes from nearly two decades of development. Some of it is avoidable, some of it isnt. This is why cloud services exist - because we can amoratize the cost and complexity vs spending every waking hour optimizing every small part of a system to run on random low powered VPS.
"Rewrite in Rust" - you don't maintain the software, nor do you undrestand what that means. An important chunk of Sentry is already in Rust (which could be C++ or Go!). The rest makes absolutely no sense to even suggest that. No one wants to work on a user facing web service with Rust, waiting on compile times non-stop. Nor do our customers.
They want a great product, and they want to keep seeing improvements to that product. Our time is spent making it actually better for our 100k customers, not optimizing for your single use case.
There is always opportunity for improvement, but takes like this are both ignorant and entitled.
I love how everyone else has a short sentence telling you who they are / what they do but Roon is just Roon. No introduction needed
