🚨 Online traffic to the entire European far-right collapsing after a successful Ukrainian attack on a Russian data centre feels like quite a big story.
If confirmed, this is telling: Russian data centres get hit, and online activity around AfD suddenly plummets. 📉 So much talk about German patriotism… then the connection from Russia goes down. 🤔🇷🇺

@BBCBreakfast have I got this right? You’ve interviewed Danny Kruger of Reform UK, a party with only 8 MPs. You’re not interviewing Matthew Pennycook, the Housing Minister? How are viewers meant to know what the govt is doing? #bbcbreakfast

Quite remarkable how the right wing are falling over each other to misrepresent completely what is happening. Desperate stuff. The risk she outlines is zero and most are back in Morocco already
With tens of thousands of migrants illegally entering Spain, there is a risk they could find routes into Gibraltar and travel through Europe and head towards the UK. Spain has already granted amnesties to illegal migrants and this is encouraging more to come. The UK Government must urgently set out its response to these risks, the discussions it's having with European cities and the actions it will take. dailymail.com/news/article-1…

Criticising the current Israeli Govt when it houses ministers like Ben Gvir & Smotrich is not ‘anti-semitism’ - it’s what any reasonable person should be doing. They’re psychopaths causing enormous damage to Israel’s global reputation.

A farmer dies in April 2026. His son inherits the farm. The farm has been in the family since 1847. The farm consists of: 300 acres of grazing pasture, a farmhouse built in 1892, a barn, a milking parlour, two tractors of varying ages, a Land Rover that runs about 70% of the time, and a herd of 180 Hereford-cross cattle. On paper, the farm is worth approximately £3.2 million. This is because land near him has been bought recently by a London hedge fund looking for carbon credits, which has dragged the comparable value of every field within forty miles upward to a number nobody local can justify. In cash, the farm produces a profit of about £28,000 a year in a good year. In a bad year it loses money. The son also works as a fencing contractor three days a week to keep the operation viable. The inheritance tax bill on a £3.2 million estate, even at the reduced 20% rate, comes to approximately £140,000 after the increased threshold is applied. The son does not have £140,000. The son has never had £140,000. The son has £4,200 in his current account and an overdraft. The son sells 60 acres to a developer to pay the tax. The developer puts solar panels on the 60 acres. The remaining herd cannot be sustained on the reduced land. The herd is sold. The barn becomes a holiday let. A different family eats Brazilian beef this Christmas without knowing why the price went up. The Treasury collects £140,000. The land never produces British food again.

You’d have to have the IQ of a gas station toilet seat to actually believe the IRGC was plotting to take out Ivanka Trump. Every last one of these “assassination plot busts” is just a very public warning from Israel of what they’ll do if Trump doesn’t give them their war.

The recent so-called 'anti-semitic terror' attack on 2 Jews in London was actually an attack on 3 people (2 Jews and a Muslim) by a mentally ill man, that was neither anti-semitic nor an act of terror. Weaponised narratives need to be recognised and challenged immediately.

🇬🇧🇺🇸 Watching King Charles in Washington this week was like watching a relative fly in to check on the cousin everyone's been worried about... Britain has been quietly watching Trump's America with growing concern for months. The Iran war, the public feud with NATO, the friction with Starmer over the lack of UK military support, the trashing of allies as a "paper tiger," the warm phone calls with Putin while Russian drones level Odessa. From across the Atlantic, the United States looks less like the steady brother and more like the family member spiraling in interesting and unpredictable ways. So Charles came to dinner. What made this visit fascinating was Trump's posture. He was unusually hospitable, unusually deferential, unusually quiet. Anyone who has watched Trump for ten years knows the one thing that consistently disarms him is prestige, status, and the kind of timeless authority that a sitting monarch radiates. He has spent his entire life chasing the symbols of permanent power. The most striking moment came when Charles addressed Congress and got a standing ovation, including from Democrats, after invoking the importance of checks and balances on executive power. That ovation was, in spirit, a gentle pushback against exactly the kind of unilateral approach Trump has been running for months. And Trump, instead of firing off a Truth Social rebuttal, openly praised Charles for getting Democrats to stand for him. He even sounded a little envious. That alone is unprecedented for a man whose default response to any perceived slight is a midnight social media barrage. Then there were the other moments that landed harder than they appeared. Charles toasted American leadership "rebuilding a shattered continent" and warned that freedom is "again under attack following Russia's invasion of Ukraine," delivered in a room where Trump has been actively softening on Moscow. He dropped his line about Britain helping America avoid speaking French. He gifted Trump a bell from a WWII British submarine literally named the HMS Trump, a piece of history so perfectly tailored to Trump's psychology it felt almost engineered. Every gift, every joke, every word in every toast was meticulously calibrated to serve as diplomacy in Trump speak. King Charles was speaking Trump's language. For all the tension between London and Washington in 2026, Charles managed something the Prime Minister couldn't and probably no other figure on Earth could have. He flew in, sat down with the most volatile leader in modern American history, gently delivered messages about NATO, Ukraine, executive restraint, and the alliance, and walked out without a single public clash. The British monarchy has been in the soft power business for a thousand years. It still works.
🇺🇸🇬🇧 King Charles spent some time at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Those mountains are among the oldest in the world, and the Appalachians were once connected to the Scottish Highlands as part of the same ancient range.

A £5m personal bribe to a UK politician should end that politician's career overnight. No exceptions - any party, and position. This is corruption.
