We asked @korevisuals to describe his design style in three words, and what influences inspire his work?
🗣: "Free, Energetic and Experimental. I feel those 3 words fit my style and thought process every time I go into a design. Growing up I actually wasn't very into art or anything artistic, so I think in design I take a very unique approach from someone who didn't grow up learning the "rights" and "wrongs" of art and design and instead just do what I see could be cool. Obviously now after the years I've grown to learn about composition and hierarchy and all the terminology and why things work, but I still have that mindset of doing what I feel is cool at the time and it always feels like it comes out in a very unique way. movement really is ruining the game, theres absolutely no counter to it and it takes no skill.
This is a bit of a hot take, but here it
goes:
Movement is ruining Apex Legends.
Now before you get angy, let me explain.
As we all know, Apex has been going downhill for a bit now. I love this game so much, so I started thinking, what is the REAL cause for this drop in popularity?
After analyzing other big games, I discovered the answer.
Just like Rocket League with flip resets and Fortnite with building, Apex Legends has a mechanic that is highly exploitable and wildly increases the skill gap: movement. Especially with the configs available, the game has become unbelievably sweaty.
Now Fortnite is the only game to have salvaged this drop in popularity, they did something that saved their game: No Build. This brought back a lot of the OGs, who generally are the big streamers with the big audience. By doing so, they reignited their passion & love for Fortnite, which directly impacted their viewers, which made them want to play Fortnite again.
I believe, if Apex were to create an “OG Apex Legends” permanent gamemode, where there’s few movement mechanics, no configs, and maybe even og abilities/guns/maps, it would reignite the popularity of the game.
And i’m not saying to delete movement, it’s what makes the game so unique with the high skill ceiling. So keep a “regular gamemode”, a little like R5 Apex, where everyone sweats & configs their weiners off.
@PlayApex your move 🫶🏽
Cant wait to get my mouse in 5 weeks and have it flex out the box
ULX Shipping Update 🌌 :
We are happy to see people getting their ULX in hand, but there is still a lot more shipping to do so don’t be alarmed if you haven’t received your shipment notification yet.
We expect to take 2 more weeks to finish shipping the first batch. Thank you for everyone’s patience and we apologize for all the delays.
While these delays are frustrating our production line is taking the time to continually dial in the first batch tolerances and get every subsequent lot as perfect as possible.
Why are u even making a historical film if u have this attitude
Ridley Scott on historians having criticisms about ‘NAPOLEON’.
