Blockchain Law
Blockchain Law. In a concept akin to Metcalfe's law, @PrasagaOfficial proposes a Blockchain Law: The
utility of SagaChain grows in direct proportion to the increasing number of classes and objects
incorporated into the tree, resulting in higher overall value. This attracts more users, fostering a virtuous cycle that enhances the value to the entire global community.

At Money20/20, Matter Labs launched Prividium Commander: a control plane that lets banks manage permissions, enforce rules and keep audit trails on existing chains. It answers a real back-office problem. The design question is where the rules live. A control plane sits beside the chain. On SagaChain™, compliance-gated execution sits in the transaction path: no state change without verified input evidence. An asset's identifiers, roles and relationships are checked before it exists. All or nothing.

The OCC finalized its GENIUS Act framework for payment stablecoin issuers today: standards for reserve backing, redemptions, custody and risk management, effective January 18, 2027. Every one of those is a property of the asset, not a balance. On SagaChain™, a stablecoin is a canonical asset object that carries its issuer, reserve references and redemption rules, and compliance-gated execution blocks any state change that doesn't meet them.

Most blockchains need an oracle network to bring in outside data. A third party fetches it, aggregates it and relays it. Trust moves to the relay, every hop is a new attack surface, and every update costs a fee. On SagaChain™, the source can hold its own account instead. It publishes data as SagaPSA™ objects with persistent state and signs every update with its own key. Any authorized system registers for notification and receives the update each time the state changes. Any reader can verify who published each value and in which block. Live on the SagaChain public development testnet today: crypto reference prices from Coinbase every 30 seconds, as well as the BEA GDP price index and the BLS CPI index, connected through each provider’s certified API. Each update is one signed transaction, visible on SagaScan™ with script, block and result. Public data publishes as free infrastructure. Private providers set their own price, and each read pays the publisher directly. Next step: the source holding the key. We’re inviting data providers to publish their feeds as classes any SagaChain account can load. Contact [email protected]. sagascan.prasaga.com Feeds publish public data from Coinbase, BEA and BLS, which operate their own systems independently and do not partner with or endorse PraSaga Foundation. TestNet data has no monetary value.

On most blockchains, a stock is a token: a balance at an address. The issuer, the identifiers and the accounts that hold it all live somewhere else. This morning one signed transaction on the PraSaga Foundation SagaChain™ public development TestNet created a stock the way the financial industry already describes one. The example uses Apple Inc.’s public identifiers. The transaction created 10 SagaPSA™ objects on one account: the legal entity with its ISO 17442 LEI, the common stock with its ISIN, FIGI and CFI codes, the issuer role that links the LEI to the ISIN, and the checking and investment accounts that reference the same LEI. Each object carries its concept name from FIBO, the EDM Council’s Financial Industry Business Ontology. The class is the standard, not a label added afterward. The same script checks every relationship before it completes. The issuer key on the stock must equal the entity’s LEI. The account owner must equal that LEI. The issuer role must link the exact LEI and ISIN pair. Every SagaChain transaction is a deterministic program that either runs to completion or does not run at all. If any check fails, none of the 10 objects exists. SagaScan™ shows this one as SUCCESS, with the script, signatures and block for anyone to inspect. That is the difference between a token and an object. A token records a quantity. An object holds its data, its logic and its permissions, so the record can enforce what the industry definition requires. Example data only. @Apple, @jpmorgan, @GoldmanSachs and @Bloomberg appear as public identifiers in a test script. None of them participates in, partners with or endorses PraSaga Foundation, and they operate their own systems independently. TestNet objects have no monetary value.

Solana DvP, out this week, is an escrow program. A named authority releases two token balances in one transaction, or the trade unwinds. That removes principal risk on the swap. It does not deliver the asset. SPL and Token-2022 balances do not know each other, so something outside both accounts has to release them. Pause, permanent delegate, and transfer hooks still apply after settlement. SagaPSA does not have an escrow authority. The trade object is the coordination point. settle() writes the security and the cash together. The commit either completes or it does not. Delivery is the object: lifecycle, standard, provenance. Not a balance that stands in for one. Atomic token escrow is not atomic asset settlement.

Cardano’s CIP‑0113 puts compliance rules directly on‑chain, proving that governance can be baked into protocol. PraSaga’s SagaChain™ does the same with built‑in compliance‑gated execution and canonical asset objects. On Cardano the asset is a quantity: a policy ID, a name, and an amount inside a UTXO. CIP-0113 adds a script that must succeed before that quantity changes owner. More holders means more balances of the same token type. The thing itself is not on the ledger. On SagaChain the asset is an instance. A class, lot, share, machine, zone, is instantiated into an account. Another holder is another instance, or a reference from their account into the object graph, not a second balance of a token type. More of them means more objects, not a larger integer. Each one has its own identity, fields, methods, and, if bound, the SLCML obligations. SagaCoin is the value rail. It pays for the move, the settlement, the fee. It is not the asset. Moving money is a SagaCoin transfer. Acting on the asset is a message to the object: transfer custody, recall, certify, deliver. The object does not become a token because money moved beside it. CIP-0113 is a lawyer-recognized hook on a listed quantity. SagaChain does not list a quantity. It instantiates the object in as many accounts as hold it, and settles the money in SagaCoin.

Ethereum’s “after” still settles tokens. Execution moves off-chain. SNARKs and STARKs prove it. The L1 verifies, orders, and samples data. SagaChain’s after is the object. State, behavior, and provenance live on the asset. One canonical class tree. Standards execute. Shards scale the single layer. Proofs of work done elsewhere, or objects that are the work.
