New column: California voters will decide next month whether to tax billionaires to address income inequality. In DC, the voter initiative is far less momentous: it's about banning a delectable dish from menus. dc.citycast.fm/opinion/dc-fo…

I wondered how fan sentiment on Nats’ ownership might change after an improved season. The answer: The fan base has never been more displeased with ownership. In your estimation, it’s the last thing holding the team back. More thoughts from the fan base: nytimes.com/athletic/7637734…

A D.C. jury couldn’t reach unanimity about whether Trayon White’s corrupt acts legally constituted bribery. That doesn’t absolve the D.C. Council of its duty to expel him—again. New column: dc.citycast.fm/opinion/the-d…

Today’s column is a report from the future, from November, after Trump has lost control of the House. The president orders the demolition of the Kennedy Center. All the quotations are authentic; I have moved them from another Trump demolition, in 1980 dc.citycast.fm/opinion/if-tr…
