I was assured on CNN Friday night that the Strait of Hormuz is open and Iran had been defeated 🤷♂️
🔺 Iran says it struck 19 ships in the Strait of Hormuz over the past two nights, Fars News Agency reported Sunday, after Kpler reported over 20 million barrels of crude and products exiting the US blockade line as 7-day average.
Iranian forces hit 12 vessels Friday night and 7 more Saturday night after they tried to pass through unauthorized routes, according to Fars. Iranian officials said any ship crossing without Iranian authorization will face an armed response.
The claims could not be independently verified, and US Central Command has not commented.

For years, we've blacklisted Venezuelan gold because it funded gangsters and corrupt military officials. Now, rather than fighting gangs and corruption, Trump has decided to do the opposite.
The Trump administration has cleared the way to import gold from a Venezuelan state company our own government labels a national security threat.
The Times found some of it is tied to miners who pay protection money to a local gang. Now hundreds of millions worth is sitting in U.S. warehouses because reputable refiners won't touch it.
Americans play by the rules and expect their government to do the same. Fast-tracking favors for politically connected companies while gangsters take their cut betrays our values.
This is corruption, plain and simple.
Congress needs a full, independent investigation into how these deals were made and whether any laws were broken.
I won't stop until we get answers.

Netanyahu made a trip to UAE yesterday, pleading with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to publicly deny Haaretz and NYT reporting that he personally warned him, 10 days before October 7, 2023, that Hamas was planning a major attack. The UAE refused.
