TALARICO: When I left the hospital, I went to Walgreens to pick up my first 30 day supply of insulin—this new medicine that I now needed to live, and it cost me $684. I didn't have that kind of money, so I put it on a credit card. So many Texans with diabetes can't afford their insulin, can't afford the medicine that they need to live. And it's all because big pharma has a monopoly..

I don’t think you have a dog in this fight but if you did you would have shot it.
I’ll take @ellalangleymsic over Kacey Musgraves any day.
And if I’m choosin’ Texas, I’ll take Ken Paxton over James Talarico.

Kirschner: What I fear is that Trump may grow tired of the court brushing him back, and he may just order the bulldozers and the wrecking balls to roll onto the Kennedy Center Plaza and start knocking it down.
And then we are in true constitutional crisis territory, where it will be up to the United States Marshals, who, by law, are duty-bound to enforce federal court orders.

We're adding this to the key art for CUPERTINO.
In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

Peak idiocracy. Here Smith is cooperating and these bozos think they have him in a gotcha; but they confuse Atlanta with Iowa.
Former special counsel Jack Smith was pressed by Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) on Tuesday during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee about whether he attended a NBA game between the Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors in Atlanta in early February 2024.
Smith said he “definitely did not go" to an Atlanta Hawks game. "I think you've already perjured yourself," Schitt said during the exchange, calling Smith a "total dirtbag."
Smith said he instead attended a Maryland-Iowa women’s basketball game to see Iowa star Caitlin Clark play. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) suggested Schmitt had confused the Iowa Hawkeyes with the Atlanta Hawks and said Smith deserved an apology.

No, he required them to renew their credentials, trump loosened the rules to let anyone who might kiss his ass in and after biden tightened the rules to more resemble past administrations they all voluntarily chose not to renew. I forgot Sean existed but he knows better. This is just pure laziness. You can see where they got the 440.

This is actually against the law.
Not that it matters in 2026.
The Trump administration has spent at least $443,000 on pro-Trump TV ads paid for by the U.S. government.
The White House issued a statement calling the spots “clearly not campaign ads”: "The attacks on President Donald J. Trump’s public service announcements are highly dishonest. The announcements are very clearly not campaign ads; President Trump is not on the ballot and there is no call to action,” the White House said in a statement. “Instead, the announcements are a reminder for Americans to love their country and know why it’s worth defending — at home, at the border, and abroad. That’s not partisanship — that’s a government that still believes in the country it serves."

Now that the pool is there, Trump is finally getting questions:
“Did you call on President XI to stop buying oil from Iran? Why are you banning media outlets? Should taxpayers pay for ads about you”

Xi Jinping invoked the “Thucydides Trap” right to Trump’s face, a reference to the clash between a rising power and a declining one. The message Xi was sending was unmistakable: China is the ascending power. America is declining. This is at least the second time Xi has raised this premise in front of Trump.
