The average grocery chain has theft in their budget so shoplifting like this is never actually harming the corporation. I will never understand when grocery store workers get people like this in legal trouble for the benefit of a corporation that doesn’t care for them

I used to work as a cashier in a grocery store and id give homeless people free shit all the time. And id give mothers 50% off discounts when I wasn’t supposed to and id never charge if I saw they had an extra item in their cart that they forgot to give me to scan
