Film for @riize_official 'Insomnia' MV
A whale breathing slowly in the ocean.
When I watch a whale—which doesn't breathe underwater—swimming peacefully in the deep sea, I love the feeling of my breath growing heavy while my mind completely settles down. Because of that, whenever my thoughts get too crowded, I find myself looking up whale videos.
Because the silhouette of a whale swimming while catching the light looked just like a human, I began writing the rest of the stories for this 'Insomnia' music video based on a single phrase I had written down. Storytelling was just as important as the visuals, and since it was a project with a very detailed and delicate guide, I wove in a lot of hidden elements, details, and stories, so please enjoy watching while having fun discovering them <3
it’s almost 1am which means i have to go to work soon…. the insomnia promo is so good i can’t sleep 🤕
i’m coming up with my theory abt riize’s insomnia storyline/mv… #theoriizing
i keep going over the stories again and again ultimately confusing myself lol
but i do think eunseok has them trapped in this dream world thinking anton is still there with them ? + in his story he says “to reach the final truth they’ll have to go through tremendous pain”

🧡 Do you find yourself recognizing your son ANTON's singing voice with the heart of a parent?
👓🦖 At first, since I had barely ever heard his singing voice either, just to the extent of him humming in the shower, the first time I properly heard his singing voice was after his debut. But since three years have already passed, finding my son's singing voice has now become not that difficult anymore. It's true that it required a bit of practice (to finally be able to recognize ANTON's singing voice)
🧡 When (the lyrics in 'Insomnia' say), "When I am captivated by the night" — that's ANTON, right?
👓🦖 That part was probably a part he sang together with Sungchan or Eunseok. Since the two voices (on that part) have different tones, I can clearly hear (ANTON's) voice there
