Yesterday, Georgia Reads Day was in full swing at Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy! 📖 Councilmember Eshe Collins joined Atlanta Board of Education Chair Jessica Johnson and Principal Melanie Sitole for a special day celebrating the joy and power of reading. They stepped into kindergarten and 3rd grade classrooms to see the Accelerated Literacy Model in action and even joined students in the library for a special read-aloud! From classrooms to story time, students showed us that reading is an adventure worth taking! 🚀 #GeorgiaReadsDay #LiteracyMatters #AtlantaPublicSchools #APS #ReadersAreLeaders

🎉 Westside Future Fund awarded $100,000 in grants to five schools in the Booker T. Washington High School cluster, showing a powerful commitment to education and student success in Atlanta’s historic Westside. Each school received $20,000 to support programs that inspire and empower our students. We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation and the continued partnership that helps build a stronger, brighter future for our community and the next generation of leaders. 🌟📚#AtlantaPublicSchools
