In other words James Gunn is preventing yet another DC idea that doesn't have to do with his DCU. This dude is holding DC hostage
EXCLUSIVE: The #Smallville animated sequel's place in #JamesGunn's DC Studios plans gets a new update from Lex Luthor actor Michael Rosenbaum:
"Right now - I won't say anything, but - I feel like James and that world, they have all their ideas of what they're doing, and I'm not sure Smallville is part of that equation."

Looking back at it his performance was the best part! He was playing an autistic billionaire like Zuckerberg and musks!

Joe Manganiello says Ben Affleck's scrapped Batman film would have seen Deathstroke kill Commissioner Gordon and dismantle Batman's entire life:
Affleck planned to make the film “a superhero version of David Fincher’s ‘The Game’” in which Deathstroke would “dismantle Batman’s entire life” after being made to think the Caped Crusader killed his son, the actor wrote in his new memoir.

Unfortunately this is just simply a problem for wanting a cinematic universe and then not allowing that cinematic universe to tell its story. Your Batman v Daedshot problem isn’t contingent on the story. Your New Genesis problem is merely not being given the chance to tell it.

Feel for the people that have to read this and pretend it sounds bad amidst the literal dogshit we're currently getting with the DCU
Plot details on Ben Affleck's cancelled ‘BATMAN’ film have been revealed:
• Deathstroke would be the main villain, dismantling Batman's life after thinking he killed his son
• Deathstroke would have killed Gordon & taken Alfred hostage
• Batgirl appeared, almost getting killed with Batman in one sequence
• The film's finale had a major showdown between Batman & Deathstroke inspired by a CGI fight sequence from ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’

The Snyderverse was truly a unique gem of a universe.
Affleck literally wearing the coat of his fallen friend while trying to protect humanity during the apocalypse...peak cinema.

It’s also why I think many fans disliked it. People talk and talk about comic accuracy but I know they would not have had an issue had Bruce been presented as right, infallible and cool.

My favorite thing about BvS is that Chris Terrio and Zack Snyder had the balls to make a movie where Batman is unequivocally wrong. Love that they did that when DC and its fans always try to justify Bruce’s most paranoid and antisocial actions.
