So, @CDPROJEKTRED , ever thought about buying the Mass Effect IP? Y'know, just a thought.

German Nazis during WWII wanted to annihilate Poland and Poles. They killed 5.47 - 5.67 million Polish citizens, including: Approximately 2.77 million ethnic Poles Approximately 2.9 million Polish Jews Overall, Poland lost approximately 16% of its pre-war population of 35 million during World War II. P.S. Poland is still waiting for reparations. Source: Institute of National Remembrance (IPN)

RAM is the new bottleneck. Every Node.js process is fighting for memory: containers, serverless, cloud bills, k8s limits. And here's the maddening part: V8 can use half the memory with one flag, and almost nobody turns it on.

Właściciele restauracji „Thaisty” w Warszawie powiesili sobie nad lokalem szyld.

We did it! Framework Laptop 13 Pro is on TIME's Best Inventions of 2026. This is our third product to list, after the original Framework Laptop in 2021 and Framework Laptop 16 in 2023.

Big news: @FrameworkPuter is more than tripling its sponsorship of CachyOS, from $250/month to $10,200/year! 🎉 This helps keep our infrastructure running and brings us closer to working on CachyOS full-time. Thank you, Framework! 💚 discuss.cachyos.org/t/announ…

K…a mać ! 12 godzin przesłuchiwać właściciela małego, lokalnego ZOO? 🤯 Wy tam @w_zurek i @MKierwinski poważni jesteście? Rzecznik prokuratury opowiada bzdury, że aż uszy więdną, a zwierzęta jadą już do Holandii. To jest szczyt blamażu, żenady, i bezprawia.

How Anthropic's new engineering post would read without the PR: Seven engineers, assisted by Claude, built and migrated to a new source control system in five months, handling 30,000 merges a day and reducing infrastructure CPU and memory requirements by 200x. The system builds on architectures pioneered by Google's Piper and Meta's Sapling/Mononoke, and uses Google Spanner for distributed metadata storage and cloud storage for file contents. So the team didn't have to build the distributed database, replication, consistency, or fault-tolerance infrastructure from scratch. The implementation and migration are genuinely impressive. But much of the difficult underlying infrastructure already existed, and the architectural ideas have been used at scale for years. There's also the question of what the numbers mean. Going from 2,500 to 30,000 merges per day measures how much code gets merged, not how much useful software gets produced. So the valid claim is that Claude helped a small team rapidly implement and deploy a specialized source control system, using mature infrastructure and well-established architectural ideas. Instead, we got this announcement: "At Anthropic, coding is no longer the bottleneck to building systems or doing research."
New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control. In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale. Here, we share how we built a new version control system—and fully migrated our monorepo from git—in five months: anthropic.com/engineering/re…

Hajs mam z rynku. Dlatego zmieniam to. To usuwałem. Skoro ten post dostał 60 lajków w 10 minut i 50 komentarzy. Like, repost, obserwuj mnie i @_CryptoCouture .

In the early days of GTA1 development, the driving just wasn’t fun. Then Pat Kerr, who is handy with physics but wasn’t even on the team, dropped in some driving code that fixed it. He’s now published a playable demo using those same ideas. It’s remarkable how much it feels like GTA1—especially the handbrake (space). patkerr.co.uk/2d-vehicles/

We have used Go for more than ten years and only update the dependencies when we feel bored. It is very stable and let you focus on your business instead of updating the deps every 6 month or unable to build. Regarding the error, I believe Go instructs us to handle the errors they have, which is good because errors don't disappear when you change languages. In my opinion, wrapping it in an infinite wrapper makes it difficult to find the root cause of the crash. Just give it to me directly, as Go does.
Sorry G, but calling Go “beautifully designed” is a immediate unfollow for me. We just have too different of perspectives on what that means. Math is beautiful. Go’s error handling is the least mathy thing ever in programming.
