I'm so sad to hear that the wonderful @russel_winder passed away. Those in the @ApacheGroovy community will remember his contributions to the language, to GPars, and more. I always loved his humour. Thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. I will miss him a lot 😢

Learned something about ML. This is how robots write Java code based on the trained models. Hopefully, I will not end up debugging this. Or probably it's a time to look for a better job than programming?...

Woot, the latest @OpenJDK 14 early-access build brings the long-awaited @java Records (JEP 359) as a preview feature 🎉! Couldn't wait to give it a try, and first impression is great. Liking the compact constructor style. jdk.java.net/14/ openjdk.java.net/jeps/359

Improving #GraalVM #Native Image youtube.com/watch?v=RMtukctD… Main takeway: if you're able to go to reach all your code paths at runtime e.g. via tests, GraalVM is able to create the reflection configuration file for you. I definitely need to try it with Spring 🤓 // TODO

#Java 11 added the HttpClient to give us a better way to send HTTP requests. It supports asynchronous and synchronous mode. HTTP2 comes out of the box. The threading is a bit funky though and @cayhorstmann explores how things work underneath the covers. javaspecialists.eu/archive/I…
