A dominant performance from the women and a three at the buzzer from the men's team helped the VIU Mariners sweep the PACWEST basketball provincials Saturday.
Both teams advance to Nationals, with the men hosting their tournament in two weeks.

With the 2025 @CCAAsportACSC MBB National Championships starting today and it being the 50th- here's a flashback to when I covered the 2013 as a fresh face CEGEP student who was the Sports editor of the newspaper. I fell in love with the underdog and #6 @VIUMariners.
Great game, much closer than the final score shows. Unbelievable experience created at LEC for the tournament. First class
