My latest for @voguebusiness exploring the impact of the Uyghur Forced Labour Prevent Act since it was enacted last June.
Almost 18 months in, a US federal law to clamp down on the import of goods made with forced labour in China’s Xinjiang region has had clear impacts on trade. The benefits for China's Uyghur population are less certain. No one is being complacent. trib.al/XrcavEM

An incredibly irresponsible piece of advertorial "journalism" from @ElleCanada here. Temu's business model deserves far more scrutiny than it is receiving and stories like this only confuse and distract readers. ellecanada.com/vip/elle-extr

It would be #PrettyPowerful if @OfficialPLT was treating #EveryBodyinPLT supply chain equally, instead of empowering the women who buy their clothes while exploiting the women who make them. #PayYourWorkers #PayHer @RemakeOurWorld ctt.ec/bOCef+

because you can’t personally afford something, it doesn’t make that something ‘over priced’ or ‘too expensive for what it is’ it’s just out of your price range and affordability

In no other industry - energy, auto, etc - is there a prevailing belief that self-regulation works. Why is the fashion industry treated differently? Better marketing, easier ability to put heads in the sand and pray to the gods of circularity?

Writing my sustainable fashion newsletter is one of my favourite "jobs" each month. Even though it doesn't pay me (and takes ages to create) I love sitting down to reflect on the month in fashion news. Interested? Subscribe here! megantldoyle.substack.com/

My latest for @BazaarUK! Capsule dressing & the "clean girl" aesthetic is everywhere, but it's pretty homogenous and exclusive. How can you embrace the capsule without looking like everyone else? Thank you @OgLakyn for your contribution! harpersbazaar.com/uk/fashion

Thanks to all those who joined us last week for our walking tour of Oxford Street — spotlighting UK high street brands that are making huge profits for shareholders at the expense of workers' wages and conditions. #PayYourWorkers đŸ§”Which brands did we pay a visit?👇

Proud to take part in the action this evening in Oxford Street to demand that billion-pound fast fashion brands pay their worker's stolen wages.
