Son: why does Canada import oil when we have so much?
Me: Because producing oil is bad for the environment.
Son: but isn't it worse to ship it from so far away?
Me: Yeah
Son: so why do we do that?
Me: its called virtue signalling son

Your government didn’t dream this up.
It received it.
Carney sat at Davos before he was PM.
He called Canada part of the "new world order."
Then called that speech meaningless.
The laws aren’t meaningless.
They’re arriving on schedule.

Our future. Our laws. Our sovereignty.
Decided by Canadians, here at home, not by anyone or anywhere else.
Canada First. Canada Always.

This is asinine for several reasons. Canada isn’t in Europe, first and foremost.
Also, now is the time to assert our sovereignty, not cede it to one of the most over-regulated, heavy handed bureaucracies in the world.
Focus in Canada, prime minister.

The Prime Minister promised free trade in Canada by Canada Day last year. It was all show and no go.
We still have federal barriers to interprovincial trade a year and a half after he promised one Canadian economy.
He not only broke his promise, he also hiked taxes and piled on extra costs for Canadian liquor producers.
Canadians should be free to buy Canadian. So let’s pass MP Dan Albas’ bill to allow shipment of 🇨🇦 alcohol across provincial borders, and back the Conservative Economic Action Plan to lower taxes, cut red tape, and boost investment: conservative.ca/cpc/free-tra…

Jean Chrétien’s speech today was the perfect representation of how unhinged & disgraceful the Liberal Party has become.
He stood on a podium at a 9/11 event and gave a speech on how America shouldn’t mess with us, not mistake kindness for weakness & how strong we are.
Today is a day of mourning.
Not a day to puff out our chest as a result of a failed negotiation.
3000 people died.
And today, the Liberals overshadowed it with anger instead of sympathy.
We should not accept this as the norm.
This type of politics should never be welcomed in our country.
It was cruel and beneath us.
It does not represent Canadian values and should be universally condemned.

After decades of predictions of its imminent demise, the reef stubbornly refuses to die.

What's @melaniejoly talking about?
Over 40% of 🇨🇦 manufacturers have moved or are planning to move to USA!
How is Joly going to anchor them here? Fine them? Jail them? Exit tax them out of existence? Nationalize them all? How?
Wake up and smell the Liberal lies & incompetence!

There is nothing people can do to stop it. And thank goodness: life between 1300 and 1850 was hard.

Conservatives have again won you savings at the pump.
Our pressure forced Liberals to back down and delay their Labour Day gas tax hike into the new year.
It pays to have Conservatives fighting for you. But Canadians need more than a delay and a partial break.

Breaking: America’s Northern Border neighbor’s coming Economic Collapse.
Collapse of the Canadian economy is actually Carney’s plan and it fits right into the globalist agenda.
America is being surrounded by collapsing economies and cartels who buy into the globalist agenda all while the CCP continues to infiltrate our U.S. economy further undermining all of our critical institutions. China will not change their behavior until we become equally intransigent with them.
Globalism will destroy Americanism.

Mark Carney lied about the Gordie Howe Bridge deal, so he really doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt on other negotiations with the United States.
Canadians should know what was on the table and what we walked away from. Release the deal. It’s that simple.

This is misinformation.

The magic of a multiplication did the rest. 0.8 times 4.

The intensity of the hyper-partisanship and profound division we currently inhabit becomes most apparent to me whenever I comment on what I regard as the occasional unforced errors of President Donald J. Trump. Any balanced commentator has experienced the bizarre sensation of being aggressively strafed from both sides simultaneously—for insufficient criticism on the one hand, or insufficient loyalty on the other. Yet one must call it as one sees it.
As someone who has known Donald Trump personally for three decades, and as a presidential historian whose works on two American presidents stand as the official biographies recommended by their respective presidential libraries, my assessment is that while President Trump, like all of us, is not without flaws, he is a good man, and in my considered judgment he has, on balance, been a good president.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion and can agree or disagree. But let me propose this litmus test: if you cannot list at least five of Trump’s major accomplishments or five of his failures, you are almost certainly inhabiting one of the two prevailing echo chambers. And my recommendation as an unlicensed psychologist is to switch off your computer or smart phone, draw a few deep breaths, step outside for a walk if the weather is nice, embrace your children or spouse if you are lucky enough to have them nearby, and remember that life is short.
