We already have 200 registrations and I genuinely can’t believe it 😭 When we did our first AI & Women episode, we noticed a bunch of people really wanted to build, but were struggling to get started with vibecoding. I remember reaching out to @0xratnakar right after and saying, okay, this has to be episode 2. Then last week, while we were actually planning it, I had this tiny moment of doubt: wait… will anyone even come for a Vibecoding 101? Well. 200 registrations already. 😭 This is going to be so much fun. 🥹 Also the fact I get to do this with all these kickass women by my side
a few months ago i posted that on a good day, @aiweekendsxyz would get 7/30 women. that post went viral. the feedback pushed us to do our first AI & Women. 75 registered. 40 showed up. now we’re back for episode 2. this time, @pritisinghhhh is doing Vibe Coding 101: Ship Your Idea to Real Life. 200+ registrations already. we’re approving 60, and only 10 spots are left. thank you @devfolio for supporting us with the venue. from 30 women max to 200+ registrations. love to see it.

🚨 NEW UPI SCAM: The "Rogue Auto QR Code" Device Takeover 🚨 A highly sophisticated UPI scam is targeting commuters using Android phones. Within minutes, victims are seeing their bank accounts linked to remote devices without their consent. Here is exactly how this technical exploit works and how to protect yourself: 💻 The Mechanics: How It Happens 1. The Hijacked QR: The fraudster displays a custom QR code. It does not open a secure payment page. Instead, it triggers an Android deep-link "Intent" payload. 2. The Forced Verification SMS: The malicious code forces the victim's phone to draft and send a hidden, encrypted UPI registration token (like the cryptic HDFCUPI... text seen at the bottom of the screenshot). 3. The Remote Device Bind: The scammers enter the victim's phone number into multiple banking apps on *their own burner devices*. When the victim's phone broadcasts that encrypted SMS token, NPCI systems mistakenly validate the *scammer's* phone as the legitimate primary device. 4. The Multi-Bank Explosion: Once the phone number is bound to the scammer's handset, automated scripts fetch every bank account linked to that number (HDFC, Axis, ICICI, etc.) in a matter of minutes. 🛡️ 100% Sure-Fire Kill Switches If you or someone you know receives a sudden flood of UPI activation messages: * Dial *99# Immediately: From the affected SIM, dial this universal USSD code. Select the option to Block UPI or Disable UPI Profile. This works instantly across all banks without needing internet. * Call 1930: Reach out to the National Cyber Crime Helpline immediately to report active device-binding fraud and freeze downstream channels. * Check SMS Forwarding: Dial *#21# to ensure the hacker hasn't secretly set up call or SMS forwarding. If they have, dial ##002# to wipe it out. * De-register Your Apps: If you still have access to your Google Pay, PhonePe, or BHIM apps, go to settings and select De-register UPI Profile. This forces a termination of all external sessions. 💡 Golden Rule of Prevention NEVER scan a street vendor or driver's QR code using your phone's default camera app or generic QR scanners. Always open a trusted, official app like Google Pay, PhonePe, BHIM, or your official banking app to scan. Safe payment interfaces will strictly block malicious device-binding intents. Stay vigilant and share this to protect others! 🧵👇 #CyberSecurity #UPIFraud #TechExplained #SafeBanking #India @Cyberdost @MTPHereToHelp @MumbaiPolice
My sister booked an Uber auto MH02EF3779. After the ride, the driver showed a fraudulent QR code. My sister suspected this and paid in cash. However, after a few minutes, she started receiving many messages from different banks for UPI registration. Please help. @MTPHereToHelp @MahaCyber1 @Cyberdost @UberIN_Support
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Scanning a QR code cannot automatically send an SMS on Android; users must manually confirm before any message is sent. The described mechanism for QR-triggered UPI device takeover does not exist. qrcodechimp.com/qr-code-genera…

No one confronts injustice and oppression with the courage and moral clarity that Indian women do. Called out Delhi Police, Prime Minister, Home Minister and Pradhan without an ounce of hesitation. No appeasement. No sanitising her words to make those in power more comfortable. Not to forget her 23 days hunger strike. None of the men from CJP have spoken with this kind of moral clarity or conviction. Instead we’ve heard assurances that they’re not anti-Modi, dictation over which slogans are acceptable and lousy excuses for why NONE of them were on the ground while others bore the brunt of the brutal crackdown. LET WOMEN LEAD.
This is a solid speech, backed by the weight of her 23 day hunger strike xitter.cf/hnpnewz/status/2080083…

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ AND SHARE. Police, CRPF, and RAF personnel deployed around the Jantar Mantar protests have been asked to remove their name tags. This is not a small thing. Removing a name tag is illegal. It exists for one reason — so that a police officer can be identified. If an officer engages in unlawful brutality and nobody can identify him, no action can ever be taken against him. Anonymity enables police excesses. The Supreme Court settled this long ago. In D.K. Basu v. State of West Bengal, the Court directed that police personnel must wear accurate, visible and clear identification and name tags with their designations. Concealing them is a violation of a binding direction of the Supreme Court. So we have set up a website to report it. If you see a police officer, CRPF or RAF personnel without a name tag: 1. Take their picture 2. Upload it on the website 3. Every single one will be sent to the Delhi Police Commissioner and the DG CRPF, with a demand for an explanation The law applies to everyone. It applies to the police too. Modi-Shah cannot be allowed to run the police as their personal mafia. LINK 👇 tinyurl.com/delhi-police-nam…

Statement : The blocking of BitChat's code on GitHub is unconstitutional and authoritarian. New Delhi, 24 July 2026 The Internet Freedom Foundation (IFF) condemns the order issued by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), Ministry of Home Affairs, directing GitHub to remove the code repositories of BitChat. The order, Notice No. 11072601011432, was issued at 11:16 pm on 23 July 2026 under Section 79(3)(b) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 read with Rule 3(1)(d) of the IT Rules, 2021. The order directs GitHub to disable access to three repositories, including the Android application and its release files, within three hours. It threatens the platform with loss of safe harbour and criminal prosecution. No copy was published by the Government of India. The public learnt of it from a post by @jack, whose team develops BitChat. Censorship in India now comes to light through disclosure by the censored. Since 17 July 2026, the Ministry of Home Affairs has suspended mobile internet around Jantar Mantar as per public reports about five times, most recently within a 1.5 kilometre radius from 4 pm until midnight on 23 July. That radius takes in Janpath and parts of Connaught Place. Reports describe signal jammers at the protest site and people walking two kilometres before their phones work. Inside that zone a student separated from her group during a detention drive cannot send a message to say where she is. Thousands of students and young people have camped at Jantar Mantar since June, seeking accountability for examination irregularities. Permission for their march to Parliament was refused. Metro stations were shut and also internet connectivity has been blocked. BitChat is an open source application built for exactly this situation. It passes messages from phone to phone over Bluetooth, without mobile networks or a central server. It is striking that the order does not identify a single unlawful message. It objects to what BitChat is. In its own words, the application is dangerous because it enables communication "even during network restrictions" and can "circumvent lawful restrictions" during "internet shutdowns". Hence, the government's objection is that citizens can speak to one another while it has switched the internet off. The order is illegal on at least four grounds. 1. Section 79(3)(b) is not a blocking power. In Shreya Singhal v. Union of India (2015) 5 SCC 1, the Supreme Court read down the provision. Intermediaries may be required to act only on a court order, or a government notification confined to the grounds under Article 19(2) of the Constitution. Blocking is governed exclusively by Section 69A and the Blocking Rules, 2009, which require a hearing and reasons recorded in writing, subject to review. Directions issued under Section 79(3)(b), Rule 3(1)(d) and the Sahyog Portal evade these safeguards, and constitutional challenges to this parallel regime are pending before High Courts. 2. The reasons in the order are circular. The order asserts that the repositories contain "information which is prohibited under any law" without naming any such information, and rests on what the application is "capable of" enabling. Anticipated misuse of a communications tool is not a lawful basis to prohibit the tool. By this logic a telephone exchange could be sealed. 3. The order cites Section 43 of the IT Act, a civil compensation provision, alongside conspiracy and abetment offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, against a platform that hosts code. 4. A three hour deadline issued close to midnight forecloses legal assessment and recourse, and fails the proportionality standard in Anuradha Bhasin v. Union of India (2020) 3 SCC 637. The order also fails on its own terms as deleting a repository does not delete the application from any phone that carries it, and the mesh keeps functioning without servers. What the takedown actually prevents is scrutiny of the underlying code. IFF demands that the Government of India: 1. Withdraw Notice No. 11072601011432 dated 23 July 2026 issued to GitHub. 2. Publish every takedown direction issued under Section 79(3)(b), Rule 3(1)(d) and the Sahyog Portal, with the reasons recorded for each. 3. Restore full connectivity around Jantar Mantar, publish all suspension orders, and disclose the legal authority for the deployment of jammers. We stand with the developers and the young protesters whose speech this order seeks to silence.
