Did you know? A new £100 million private hospital will be opening next year on the grounds of an NHS trust. The new hospital will belong to a US-owned private healthcare company, HCA UK. RT if you think everyone should be aware.

This has amused me. They have reconstructed the face of the bed burial girl, and here is my representation of her - from last year.

This is atrocious. I visited Carnac many moons ago. Such a special place. Hard to believe this was allowed.
Thirty nine ancient standing stones at the Neolithic site of Carnac, in north-west France, have been destroyed during the construction of a Mr Bricolage DIY store, it has been revealed. bit.ly/3MWhJpv

A lot of you are referring to the lack of insects in the UK this spring, and referring to a 'silent spring'. Let us turn back to Rachel Carson's 'Silent Spring', the 61 year old book that coined the phrase & brought public attention to the ecological impact of pesticides.

NOT forgiven. NOT forgotten @BorisJohnson . You and your pals tell yourselves, and everyone else whatever you like. But we ALL understood what was being asked of us. And as a result some horrendous sacrifices were made. And you (and your pals) understood too. You decided ultimately though, that you were better than us average Joes. Our people were judged to be worth less than yours.
We didn't have parties to "boost morale" We didn't have quiz nights We didn't have champagne We watched our colleagues die though We were STEEPED in death We kept going We had to We kept on So don't you DARE say your parties were "necessary" @borisjohnson You make me sick.

When people make comparisons with what went on in Germany in the 1930s, I refer to these words from the Auschwitz Museum to judge if there is some truth in their claim.
Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers. This hatred gradually developed from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence. It took time. #GenocidePreventionDay

Illness is neither an indulgence for which people have to pay Nor an offence for which they should be penalised But a misfortune, the cost of which should be shared by the community. Please RT if you agree
