Nature is running out of space. Urban areas have more than doubled since 1992 (UN IPBES). How can the arts and cultural sector support #biodiversity and #regrowth? New #ACESupported guide by @JuliesBicycle offers inspiration buff.ly/2OLuwi9

Here is the route that XRTC will take tomorrow for the Funeral for the Planet. Peavey Plaza north on Nicollet Mall to 5th Street. Then east on 5th street to the People's Plaza (the public space sandwiched between City Hall on the N and Hennepin County Government Center on the S).

One piece featured in the exhibit had a strong connection to Standing Rock. Fashioned out of plyboard and covered in reflective mylar, the "mirror shields" actually served as protective gear for the water protectors at Standing Rock. buff.ly/2CYpaJI

I still want to see a Hippo statue on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square, where hippo bones from 120,000 years ago were found. A monument to climate change and the wild past of a major city. 🦛
I hadnt realised that hippopotamuses once plodded around central Italy, until I went to the Palaeolithic Museum in Isernia bit.ly/2JwAOkO Never much thrilled to the stone age, but this was amazing
