Hour 10 of 10, long day of drinking but made it! Going with Glenville State! Great conversation from the folks at the Pine Room! Given to me by Stephen Dye! Pioneers were my fave team to watch/follow last year and will be this season as well!
Hour 8 of 10, going with Davis & Elkins! A few people here at the Pine Room requested this shirt, given to me by @CoachMondragon1 at the time! What an amazing job by him there and now at powerhouse Fairmont State!
Hour 7 of 10, going with Frostburg State! Many of the people here at the Pine Room agree with me that Jenna Eckleberry, who gave me this shirt, is one of the absolute best coaches in the MEC!
Hour 6 of 10, going with Concord! Many of the people here at the Pine Room have been cracking up at the quotes from @CoachKennyOz
Hour 5 of 10, going with Fairmont State! Many of the people here at the Pine Room have said this shirt was the best so far! Given to me by the legend @33byrd
At the legendary Pine Room in Wheeling! Gonna be posting a different shirt of the programs every hour as long as I’m still capable after 10 hours of drinking. Up first, of course WV State 🐝
Wheels up back to Wheeling! Gonna hang out and watch football all day with some fellow long time fans/followers/supporters of the MEC/former WVIAC. The 309 crew of WesBanco. Brought shirts of 10 of the 12 programs I have (thank you all) & every hour will put on a different one!
must say the past few years have been much less enjoyable for me! I HATE the transfer portal & I’ve had to endure key transfers from my fave program & alma mater, including within the MEC (& to programs I really like). Luckily none this year so hopefully can enjoy a little more
had an awesome time at MEC hoops media day today! Was great seeing everyone all in one place! Did some initial research and after today, will do a roster deep dive! I’ll start doing team previews and thoughts on each team before the season starts!
MEC Hoops Media Day - Men’s Preseason Poll
@WLU_MBB the clear number 1 and should be! Bring back mostly everyone and are very deserving!
Glenville State is also very dangerous along with Fairmont State and UC!
MEC Hoops - Women’s Preseason Poll
@FairmontWbb number 1. Very deserving! Bring back the majority of the team, and Leslie Huffman, the Player of a year 2 years ago, returns after missing last year to injury
UC and Glenville State right behind at 2 and 3 and also super solid!
For the women, I would guess Glenville State will be number one!
Would assume UC, WV Wesleyan, and Fairmont could be 2-4 in any order!
Would think Concord and Frostburg State would round out the top half in any order!
But nothing in the top 6 would totally surprise me!
For the men, I think West Liberty will definitely be number 1!
I’d expect UC and Glenville State to be 2 and 3 in any order!
I would think Fairmont State and Wheeling would be 4 or 5 in any order!
From 6 to the bottom 🤷♂️
