If we can't afford a decent basic standard of living for everyone in the UK, if we can't afford a basic pension, or help for disabled people, we can't afford to pay for helicopters to be used like Ubers for the royals.
The Mirror’s own pod just admitted it: talking about what the Sovereign Grant actually funds is “uncomfortable” because it’s helicopters, private jets, and a family whose costs keep adding up.
They’re tinkering around the edges. The real conversation is whether a modern country should keep bankrolling a hereditary luxury lifestyle while telling everyone else to tighten their belts.
Time to stop funding the royals.!!!#AbolishTheMonarchy 👇👇👇

Management has just informed me that we all need to pull our weight around here.
I'm sorry, I appear to have laughed so hard I've pulled something.
Probably a muscle.
Certainly not my weight.

Why does Donald Trump get to ruin the East Potomac Golf Course? It's not his course. He doesn't even own it. He doesn't own the land it sits on. Where is the fucking pushback???

The fact they have to strip a bunch of people's honours each year because they turn out to be criminals shows how stupid the honours system is in the first place. #AbolishTheMonarchy

🚨 Trump’s golf course hearing took a stunning turn as a top Interior Department official claimed he learned about Trump’s construction plans from Truth Social.
The judge also ordered him to preserve his personal phone after a surprising revelation about who was sending him golf course designs. meidasnews.com/news/trumps-g…

DoJ attorneys suddenly unwilling to stand by filings when their own ass is on the line.
The judge is suggesting this is a frivolous lawsuit, and asking the DoJ attorneys to sign and file.
Knowingly signing and filing a false document means personal liability for those attorneys, including risking their license.
She cannot compel them to sign, but their failing to do so one the record, can be used as evidence in dismissing the case as frivolous, and referenced in other cases.
Reyes is taking no bs.

There was something deeply absurd (and pathetic) about DoJ lawyers trying to word salad their way out of the President’s posts from this weekend.
Judge asked them point blank if the court should believe the lawyers or the President. They literally could not answer.

It's funny how the UK journalists are now talking about how much of an asset Meghan was, but they forget to tell you that when she was raising over £500K for Grenfell victims, they were attacking her for driving with her mum to an event with a taxpayer funded car.
Meghan spoke for nearly 3 minutes without any notes for the launch of the ‘Together’ cookbook and you actually told my girl to be 50% of herself just to make other one feel better GTFO 🙄

Donald Trump canceled his scheduled Oct. 16 deposition in his lawsuit against the BBC because of "matters of national importance."
The BBC alerts the judge that those matters were: a rally in Dalton, Ga. and a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago.

ALT The BBC submits this Notice to raise newly available information regarding the “matters of national importance” that Plaintiff claimed kept him from his scheduled deposition. As the BBC now knows, on October 16, Plaintiff attended and addressed a campaign rally in Dalton, Georgia, alongside Plaintiff’s favored candidates in Georgia’s upcoming U.S. Senate and gubernatorial elections. Plaintiff subsequently traveled to his resort club and residence at Mar-a-Lago for a Republican National Committee fundraising event.

I need to understand why people get pissed when a single mother gets help from the state, but they're ok with the royals getting millions each year from taxpayers.

They make you call them working royals, so that you don't call them what they really are— Taxpayer funded royals.

For those of you not from DC - this means runners, bicyclists, families, sightseers would all be displaced from Hains Point - so that a high-end golf course could be built minutes from the U.S. Capitol and White House.

For more than a year, President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has acted as one of the nation’s top diplomats, without undergoing Senate confirmation or filing a single financial disclosure.
If you’re asking how that’s legal, it’s not. We sued. ms.now/opinion/jared-kushner…
