In the pub tonight I talked to Scots from Edinburgh, a Dane, Norwegians and folk from Bolton. All took the lead in saying they are sick of immigrantion, Third World invaders & the financial cost of our Welfare being consumed by foreigners. The fear of speaking the truth has gone.

#EleanorDonaldson was found by the jury, following a trial of the facts, to have done the acts alleged in five charges, including four of aiding and abetting her husband’s abuse. She was ruled unfit to stand trial, fit enough to run up and down to the jail visiting him though.

This makes me angry, I got solar panels 4 1/2 years ago, there was a small grant, which helped. I didn't get the battery at the time as it was too expensive (it still is TBH). They do really make a difference to electricty bills, even without the battery 🙏. I know lots of hard working families who would love to get them but simply can't afford them. It is such a kick in the teeth that the government is offering a large grant to people on social welfare. More and more people are saying to me, what's the point of working? I can see where they're coming from!! However, the last thing most of us would want is to be dependent on the State. That's my opinion anyway, so I will keep working 🙃
Fianna Fáil are giving anyone on social welfare a grant of €9,000 towards the cost of solar so they can save on the price of their energy, another reason why it doesn’t pay to work in Ireland.

The highest paid politicians ever in Irish history, way above the norm, going back to the 60s. These overpaid looters have destroyed home ownership for any young person. I had my first house aged 21 with a tough mortgage too. Can never happen now thanks to these greedy clowns.

It genuinely blows my mind how many Irish people still amazingly believe that they live in a country that has a properly functioning & representative democracy.🤦‍♂️ Are they really that ignorant as to what's going on or are they just living in deluded state of absolute denial?🤨

I'm tired. Are you tired too? What they really mean is that black women have been inspired by Shakespeare and have "re-imagined" his works. But it causes more outrage when they frame it as Shakespeare actually being a black woman. So they go with that. Happy to annoy people. In fact that seems like the only goal really. Relentlessly annoying people in the hopes they will just have their spirit broken somewhere along the madness. "In the Folger’s newest exhibition To Hear Her Speak: Black Women and Shakespeare, curated by Akhimie, more than 400 years of Black women’s engagement with Shakespeare is collectively explored for the first time, illuminating the ways in which Black women have claimed and reimagined the works of Shakespeare through scholarship and craft. “It’s a performance [and theater] history but it’s also an intellectual history about Black women as writers and artists pulling from Shakespeare to do new and amazing things,” said Akhimie, speaking in a warm conversation in early October."

Unbelievable! A Pakistani drug dealer has been granted bail and permission to leave Ireland to return to his native Pakistan for a wedding. Ireland is not a serious country.

I'm all for #HelpMeBuyAHome @virginmedia However, Brazilians Edson and Rachel with the guts of €1m to spend shopping in leafy South County Dublin, certainly don't need your services This to me is rubbing it in the noses of struggling young Irish couples but a home – at Fingal, Ireland

Irish people should not have been forced to compete with the entire world for housing in their own country. Irish homes for Irish people.

What does Mr Martin makes of the following lines from the Proclamation: "We declare the right of the people of Ireland to the ownership of Ireland and to the unfettered control of Irish destinies, to be sovereign and indefeasible. The long usurpation of that right by a foreign people and government has not extinguished the right, nor can it ever be extinguished except by the destruction of the Irish people." In the context of current socio-political constrains, would he agree with the Proclamation that 1. the Irish people own Ireland 2. the Irish people [do and should] control Irish destinies? In the light of recent and continuing significant demographic changes to the population of this country, would he care to comment on the significance of the claim that the right of the Irish to the ownership of Ireland and to control Irish destinies can only be extinguished by the destruction of the Irish people?
Taoiseach Micheál Martin has claimed that the desire for a sense of "national superiority or uniqueness" is the "exact opposite" of the vision of the 1916 Proclamation. Read more in the comments 👇

Sujib Shak (33) Needed Bangladeshi Interpreter, So How Did He Have A Licence To Drive a Bus? Driver 'Swayed' Onto Hard Shoulder & Hit Pedestrian, Pausing Fatality. A BUS driver has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of a pedestrian on the N7 in Kildare last year. "Sujib Shak (33) residing at Orchard Court, Blackpool, Cork appeared before a sitting of Naas Circuit Criminal Court on Friday where he was arraigned for the charge of dangerous driving causing the death of Igor Soares on the eastbound section of the N7 at Kill, Co Kildare on November 1, 2025. The accused, who was working with Dublin Coach, pleaded guilty to the offence contrary to Section 53 of the Road Traffic Act 1961 through a Bengali interpreter. Mr Soares (31), an IT worker and native of Brazil, sustained fatal injuries in the collision which occurred between Junction 7 and Junction 8 at around 5:30pm. The victim, who had been living in Cork for over three years, was pronounced dead later that day at Tallaght University Hospital where he was brought by ambulance after being struck by a bus. Counsel for the DPP, Jordan Fletcher BL, asked Judge Elva Duffy to fix a sentencing date that would facilitate Mr Soares' family who are travelling to Ireland from Brazil for the court hearing. The judge directed that a victim impact statement be prepared and remanded Mr Shak on continuing bail to a sentencing date in early December. At a sitting of Naas District Court last December, Sergeant James Birmingham said the deceased was making a phone call when the bus "swayed into the hard shoulder." Sgt Birmingham said the accused had produced Irish and Bengali driving licences as well as an Italian identification card. An inquest into Mr Soares' death was adjourned at Dublin District Coroner's Court earlier this year after gardai confirmed that the DPP had directed a criminal prosecution should arise out of the circumstances of the fatal incident. The defendant was uninjured in the incident, while two passengers received non-life-threatening injuries. Mr Soares had been travelling from Cork at the time of the collision to visit his girlfriend, Luara Rocha, who was living in Dublin, to celebrate their first anniversary."
