Think about this week. Ask yourself this: What comes to mind faster…the stuff you got done or the moments you had with people? If the stuff comes to mind faster than the people, flip the script for the rest of the week. It’s literally only Wednesday. #LeadFromWhoYouAre

Yes..yes…and yes! Love this. Cannot wait. Will you be there?!?
Thomas Guskey previews his Learning Forward 2026 preconference session, "Uniting Our Efforts to Evaluate Professional Learning." He breaks down the 5 critical levels of evidence for evaluating PL, how generative AI can streamline data gathering and analysis, and how to plan backward from the student outcomes you want to see. Read the full post to see how evaluation can become a built-in part of professional learning β€” not an afterthought β€” and register to join Tom's session on Sunday, December 6th at the 2026 Annual Conference. Registration details are in the post! #LearnFwd26 @tguskey @LearningForward learningforward.org/2026/09/…

Could not agree with this more! Have to model what you value in your actions!! Learning is a must for everyone.
Great leaders don’t just encourage learningβ€”they let others see them learning, too. πŸ“šπŸ’‘ πŸ’ Thoughtful Question: What evidence does your team see that tells them, β€œMy leader is a learner”? Read β€œLet Them See You Learn” blog from LFTX. #LeadLearner #LearnFwdTX #LFTXlearns #PL4PL

Oh. My. Goodness. This is better than I expected!! Cannot wait to read this!
Well, today is the day. How You Show Up is officially live. I'll keep it real. I've spent the last six years hesitating to write again. Two best-selling books in, and I still sat with a stack of "what if this one isn't as good" doubts every time I opened the laptop. Writing this forced me to close my own "belief gap" before I ever helped anyone else close theirs. At its core, How You Show Up is about the gap that exists in each one of us between who we intend to be and who the people around us actually experience. Not because we're not enough, but because the most important person any of us will ever lead is the one staring back in the mirror. I wrote it for anyone who needs to show up for other people every single day, at work or at home, often carrying more than anyone around them realizes. If that's you, I think you'll see yourself somewhere in these pages. Change the belief. Change the behavior. Change the outcome. That's the book in nine words. You don't need a perfect score to live a life filled with purpose and impact. If you want to check it out, it's available now: amzn.to/4gKkXfY

This issue is filled with lots of great information. This graphic was one that stood out for sure.
The latest issue of The Learning Professional is here! Includes lots of insights from practitioners doing the work: reimagining teacher inservice days in Kansas; shifting evaluation from compliance-laden to teacher-focused in Connecticut; aligning teacher-led PLCs with district-level strategies in Massachusetts. ow.ly/BMfo50ZAFbh

Multipliers is such a great read. I love finding those geniuses!
A gut-check for any leader. When someone on your team is genuinely smarter than you in their domain, what's the first thing you feel? Not what you say. The actual, unedited, in-your-chest reaction. Some leaders feel threat. They start finding reasons the expert is wrong. They explain what the person already knows. Other leaders feel relief. "Thank god they're here." The first reaction is human. The second is a skill, and it's trainable. Which one shows up first for you? #Multipliers #LeadershipDevelopment #SmartTeams

YEP...@Joe_Sanfelippo bringing it...this book is a great read.
One builds your ego. The other builds trust. The best school leaders know that curiosity creates better decisions than certainty ever will.Β  Before your next meeting, ask yourself this question. f.mtr.cool/zyossrcmeu #LeadFromWhoYouAre

THIS!!! Great reminder to all leaders...
Presence isn't about having more time. It's about making people feel like they had your time. We're all busy. The leaders people remember aren't the ones who rushed from conversation to conversation. They're the ones who stayed curious, listened before solving, and made people feel like they mattered. Every interaction is preparing people for a conversation you haven't had yet. Lead with your attention before you lead with your answers. #LeadFromWhoYouAre
