Big things are happening at Robert Frost PreK-8 School!
This update from two weeks ago shows just how far the Blueprint Schools Phase 2 project has come, and we’re gearing up to top out in the next few weeks.
Designed to serve both elementary and middle school students, the new campus will feature distinct academic neighborhoods, a central double-height library at the heart of the school, and shared commons spaces that support learning and community use beyond school hours.
From daylight-filled classrooms and geothermal systems to outdoor learning spaces and rain gardens, this project is built to inspire while advancing sustainability goals, with a path toward Net Zero Energy. The project is on track for delivery in Summer 2027.

MCN proudly joined @MayorBowser, @DCDGS, @DCDPR, @studio27arch, and Ward 8 community members to break ground on the new $25 million Douglass Community Center in Washington, DC.
Named in honor of Frederick Douglass and celebrated during Black History Month, this project reflects a continued investment in Ward 8, delivering a modern, 13,550-square-foot, energy-efficient facility and six acres of upgraded outdoor amenities.
The new center will provide multipurpose rooms, a fitness center, media center, commercial kitchen, playgrounds, community garden, and a pool and splash pad, creating safe, vibrant space for families, youth, and seniors year-round.
