Ossoff: "Maybe you saw Trump so desperate that he's begging Putin for diesel. But listen to this -- at the very same time, the White House is brokering the sale of billions in Russian energy assets to people who fund the Trump family and the Trump campaign. Y'all remember Jared Kushner?"

Tenemos esperanza

To put this in laymen's terms, Musk and Trump are now hobbling Ukraine's ability to protect its civilian population from a type of Russian drone that functions more like a cruise missile. This is not the United States adopting a neutral position vis-a-vis the war. This is the United States facilitating Russian terror.
Ukraine's Starshield terminals still don't work properly, President Zelensky confirms, disabling Ukrainian interceptors used to shoot down Russian jet-powered drones that have been hitting civilian targets in recent weeks.

Musk and Trump are continuing to hobble Ukraine's interceptor drones by restricting Starlink speed -- leaving Ukrainian civilians wide-open to Russian attack again. Deaths will be a direct result.
Latest: Zelenskyy tells reporters over WhatsApp that restrictions on Ukraine's Starlink systems remain. Interceptor drones can't function, logistics and operations hobbled. The maximum speed is 161 kph; "exceeding this limit causes the Starlink connection to cut out completely, resulting in the loss of the drone."
He says Ukraine has done tests to determine whether SpaceX is truly facing technical issues, as has been told Kyiv by the US side, or if this is a "deliberate operation... to restrict us, cut us off, and prevent us from defending ourselves and protecting our people, both at the front and among the civilian population."
He says Ukraine "sent a couple of vehicles equipped with Starlink terminals into European Union territory."
"They moved at speeds exceeding 180kph, and the Starlink systems worked perfectly. We have the relevant logs and evidence to prove this."
He adds: "The conclusion is clear: the restrictions are in effect within Ukraine but do not apply within the European Union. In other words, this is a planned operation."

They justify this betrayal by saying they want the war to end. I.e., they hope that by crippling Ukraine's ability to defend itself & protect civilians against Russian terror, Ukraine will surrender to Russian occupation: murder, rape, kidnapping, and then, a continuation of war.

EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk approached Donald Trump with the idea of slowing down Starlink in Ukraine, The Telegraph can reveal.
The billionaire tech entrepreneur approached the US president with the proposal to introduce speed limits on the system, which hampered Ukraine’s drone defences, according to four sources familiar with the discussions.

EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk came to Donald Trump with the plan to throttle Ukraine’s use of SpaceX’s Starshield satellite internet network, sources have told the Telegraph.
The tech billionaire made the proposal during the US President’s row with Volodymyr Zelensky over strikes on Russian oil refineries.
‘The reality is that they were both in it,’ a senior source said of Musk’s and Trump’s involvement.
But after a night of carnage in Kyiv caused by the slowdown, Musk was alarmed about the possibility of adverse consumer reaction in Europe.
The SpaceX boss then proceeded to tweet, blaming the US administration, and ultimately, President Trump for authorising the slowdown.
‘He tweeted out that he was innocent and that it was the US administration that did it,’ the source said.

It is.
The US increasingly epitomises hyper-capitalist showmanship: a circus of clowns selling spectacle as innovation, with little added value to humanity.
Europe still has a sense of class: engineering with purpose, creating things people actually want, need and can use.

It’s been a good week for Putin. First the Trump intervention to stop Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries and now this. For Ukraine to survive Europe needs to confiscate the €200 billion of frozen assets before May 2nd when the second round of French elections take place. If that doesn’t happen the money for Ukraine will dry up, Ukraine will fall and Europe will be at war with Russia.
Not a cent: Marine Le Pen vows to cut off support for Ukraine if she comes to power
The leader of France’s right-wing populists said that if she wins the election, she could end not only bilateral aid to Ukraine but also funding for Kyiv through joint EU programs.
Le Pen had previously promised to halt direct aid while maintaining some operational support and training for Ukrainian troops.
In an interview with the Financial Times, she said France could no longer afford such spending.
“We need to give Zelensky an honest warning: we can no longer do this,” Le Pen said.
She also pointed to the €90 billion EU loan, of which €18 billion would fall to France.
Le Pen also described Ukraine’s accession to the EU as “hara-kiri” for the bloc.

I spent 15+ years investigating Russian secret services and organized crime. I know people who served with Putin in the KGB and sat in on his deals with St. Petersburg crime bosses. So let me explain the "diesel deal" the way they would — in gangster slang. Because that's the language Putin actually thinks in.
First, the facts.
Putin just raised Russia's 2027 military budget by 27% to a record 17.1 trillion rubles — about $203 billion. Who budgets that kind of money for a war they're about to end?
The FT reported yesterday that Western intelligence has warned the heads of European defense companies that Russia is plotting to assassinate them.
Since September, Tusk, Macron and the intelligence services of Poland, Czechia, Latvia, Belgium, France and Denmark have all warned that Russian hybrid attacks — including drone and missile strikes — will intensify in the coming months.
None of this looks like a country preparing for peace.
Who actually benefits?
🇺🇸 What the US gets: Every serious analysis I've read says the announced volumes won't move American diesel prices. This is a PR move for Trump before the midterms — a story about prices that will "very, very soon" come down once his friend Vladimir's tankers reach US shores, plus the chance to claim he ended another war (I've lost count). The only US "benefit" is Trump's rating.
🇷🇺 What Russia gets: billions of dollars to keep funding its genocidal war against Ukrainians. Sanctions relief. A demonstration of power to the rest of the world. A deeper rift between the US and its European allies. And a real chance to disrupt US weapons and intelligence flowing to Ukraine.
So what is Putin's actual goal?
Trump's disapproval is at record highs and polls show his party will most likely loose midterm elections. In less than a month his power will be badly weakened. Why would Putin sign a long-term peace deal with a lame duck whose signature will soon be scrutinized at best and annulled at worst?
He wouldn't. And here's where the slang comes in.
In the eyes of Putin and his siloviki, Trump is a baryga — a greedy, unscrupulous businessman who puts profit above law and principle. Gangsters despise barygas, but they love using them. The goal is always to turn a baryga into a lokh — a mark, an outsider who doesn't understand the rules of the underworld and gets played to serve the gang's interests.
By signing the diesel deal, Putin plays two scenarios at once:
A) The deal miraculously helps his lokh keep power — great.
B) The deal changes nothing, the baryga loses the midterms — but by then it has already done its job: inflamed US political tensions and acted as arson inside the American system.
Putin knows that the majority of Americans support Ukraine. He knows that by signing, Trump draws unprecedented criticism, including from his own party. And he knows a baryga won't give up power easily, because he will have to answer for everything he did in office — this deal included. That's classic gangster/secret-service method: tie a man to your organization, make him a partner in your crimes, so he can't walk away.
Pouring more oil — diesel, in this case — onto the most explosive fault lines of American politics, raising the stakes for Trump and pushing him past the point of no return serves Putin far better than a peace deal that could be voided within months.
Remember: Putin's goal in the West is chaos, not peace.

For twelve years, millions of Russian troll farm accounts - gleefully supported by this platform - have been the wind beneath the wings of both far-right and far-left content, polarizing and creating violent division, with pro-Russia being the single commonality.
Sadly, based on this manufactured consensus, life has imitated art, ushering in support for far-right nazism in Germany and France, acquiesce and complicity in America's Republican party and far-left pro-Iran sentiment within the Democratic party.
Meanwhile, all along, Ukraine was holding the solution.
