AI songwriting and music making tools are amazing.. I've played with @suno_ai_ enough to be totally blown away. BUT, they will never give me the gratification or feeling that writing a song (from my head) does.. and/or the feeling I get when playing it with other real humans 🎸

Simultaneously excited about the potential of A.I. -- while also eternally grateful for spending time with real humans, creating things that A.I. can't (eg: memories, music from our brains, shared experiences).

Who's building the verification platform where real humans can (a) verify something is actually them, and (b) prove that it was created by humans? In the future, I want to know when ppl like @JasonIsbell actually wrote a song and played/recorded it - and verify it's not fake.

As much as I've been frustrated by the state of the internet lately, today is not one of those days. Spending the day remote drum tracking with a killer team 1/2 way across the US, making a new record. Using the internet to make great art, with real humans. #goodday

I don't know if this is convincing enough to invest more $ -- but if this is real, and not just a person talking in the background, it's pretty astonishing to see the pace of improvement. As my old business partner @donsmithmier used to say - "Robots are coming for you job"

This kind of stuff drives me crazy. People like @johncutlefish have spent their whole career DOING the work. That's where thought leadership like this comes from. Doing the work -> hard lessons learned -> synthesis = thought leadership Give credit where it's due.
