It’s Kraft cheese or cheese slices where I live and they’re disgusting.
We went to a restaurant in Banff several years ago, and my daughter asked for American cheese on her burger. The server told her they had *Canadian* cheddar, and it was just as good as the American kind. He went on and on about how they served local cheese instead of importing from the US. We tried explaining that American cheese didn't just mean "cheese from America," but he didn't get it. We couldn't get him to understand what processed American cheese slices even were. 😂
