Doctor: Iād like to start you on a low-dose daily medication for your chronic condition. The data show it reduces long-term risk, and once we start, the plan is usually lifelongāstopping can reverse the benefit.
Patient: Iām not comfortable committing to a drug for life. I donāt trust the companies that make these drugs. They routinely misrepresent their own studies, hide unfavorable data, and simply donāt publish negative trials. When a researcher produces results they donāt like, funding disappears.
Doctor: Most trials are registered now, and we have more transparency than we used to. The agencies do require disclosure of certain results.
Patient: Thatās not what the record shows. Companies have been caught suppressing negative studies and spinning the ones they do publish. And it isnāt just the companiesāthe medical journals themselves have authors whoāve documented how industry money distorts the literature. Multiple senior academics have written that pharmaceutical funding has corrupted large parts of academic research.
Doctor: There are conflicts of interest, I agree, but the peer-review process and independent analyses still catch a lot of problems.
Patient: The same companies also dominate the advertising that keeps the major news outlets afloat. When the bulk of your revenue comes from drug ads, critical coverage of those same drugs becomes rare. Thatās not a conspiracy theory; itās how the business model works.
Doctor: News organizations do have conflicts, but they also report negative stories when they surface.
Patient: Then thereās the FDA. The revolving door is well documentedāregulators leave government and go straight into industry jobs, and industry people move into regulatory roles. Thatās classic regulatory capture. Public-private partnerships and intellectual-property deals have created similar conflicts at the NIH. The people who are supposed to be independent watchdogs have financial ties to the companies theyāre regulating.
Doctor: Those arrangements are meant to accelerate research. There are ethics rules and disclosure requirements.
Patient: The rules havenāt stopped repeated cases of fraud. Companies have been caught faking data, off-label promotion, and concealing risks. The usual outcome is a fine that is a fraction of the revenue the drug generated. No one goes to jail, and the same companies continue selling the products. That pattern has repeated for decades.
Doctor: I⦠those settlements do happen, and the penalties are often small relative to profits. I donāt have a strong answer for that.
Patient: So given all of thatāhidden negative data, journal corruption, advertising control of the press, regulatory capture at the FDA and NIH, and fraud settled with wrist-slap finesāwhy should I trust that this particular lifelong medication is safe and necessary rather than simply profitable?
Doctor: (quietly) Those are real problems. I donāt have a good rebuttal to the pattern youāve described. The system has been compromised in the ways you said. I still think the drug might help in your case based on the published data, but I understand why that data doesnāt look reliable to you. We can hold off if youād rather not start it.

Tim Russert collapsed at his desk in June 2008. He was fifty-eight.
He had known coronary disease. His doctor had him on a statin and blood-pressure medication. He exercised on a bike most days. Weeks earlier he had passed a stress test at a high workload with no symptoms. His LDL cholesterol, on the drug, sat at 68. That was the number his doctors considered controlled.
He was also significantly overweight. His waist was large. His triglycerides were high. His HDL had spent years in the twenties and had only reached 37. The combination was noted. The waist was the one his internist later called the single strongest predictor of mortality.
The autopsy showed an enlarged heart and a fresh clot in the left anterior descending artery. A plaque had ruptured. The numbers on the paper had been acceptable. The plaque was not.
He was doing what the guidelines asked. The plaque still ruptured.

Ruemmler was undisclosed CIA while in the Obama White House.
When she won the CIA Agency Medal on January 8 2015, she emailed Epstein via plain text about it.
Then she worked with Epstein to help the Rothschilds and talked to Epstein about "boy stuff."

2015 CIA "Agency Award" winner Kathy Ruemmler --former White House Counsel to President Obama and now top lawyer at Goldman Sachs-- was paid $10 million by the Rothschild family, via sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, to resolve a $45 million tax evasion case with the DOJ.

"[A] 45 [million USD fine?" Ariane de Rothschild asked Epstein on December 10, 2015 (roughly 11 months after Ruemmler revealed to Epstein that Ruemmler was a CIA agent who, on January 8, 2015, was awarded CIA's highest award --the Agency Medal-- by then-director John Brennan). (Email EFTA00839130, page 1.)
"[I] think you will find that 45.5 penalty legal ([K]athy plus [P]illsbury around 10 [million dollars]. me 25 [million dollars] ) all less than 80 pretty good," Epstein replied. (Email EFTA00839130, page 1.)
Ariane, for her part, was thrilled with her sex offender operative (and his CIA friend who worked for Obama just months prior while the case was still active):
"Yes , congratulations and a giant thk [sic] u !! I m [sic] relieved that it s [sic] settled and over. Now we can start moving fwd [sic]," Ariane told the sex offender. (Email EFTA00839130, page 1.)
In response, Epstein issued marching orders to the Rothschild (including some kind of plan to take people out from the family using the DOJ as cover):
"good luck today . . 1 lets get this closed 2. have kathy meet with david and his people 3. review rockefeller. . 4 hire asset woman, 5. do we use doj and its harsh language to remove benjamin . . 6. begin family plan. susswein, . 7. look for partners , ?" (Email EFTA00839130, page 1.)
Over the last week, I have reported the following series of developments about Epstein and Ruemmler's connection, Ruemmler's indiscretions regarding telling Epstein about her CIA medal ceremony (right after Ruemmler left the White House and wasn't able to get support in Congress to be US Attorney's General) and Ruemmler inviting Epstein to Washington D.C. to do "NSA, CIA and boy stuff;"
CIA "Agency Award" winner Kathy Ruemmler --former White House Counsel to President Obama and now top lawyer at Goldman Sachs-- worked directly on PR for sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as late as March of 2019, per newly-released DOJ Epstein Files.

"[Here is the] ruemmler proposal," Epstein told his confidant Steve Bannon --who tried, and failed, to work with Epstein and MBZ to stop MBS from taking over Saudi Arabia-- on March 7, 2019 circa 7AM ET. (Source email EFTA00784058, page 10 of 17.)
"The criticism is wrong and reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of both the facts underlying Mr. Epstein's case and how it was prosecuted by both local and federal authorities. Far from a receiving a sweetheart deal, Mr. Epstein was subjected to a lengthy, aggressive, and highly unusual federal investigation for what were, in essence, local offenses of sexual solicitation. He accepted responsibility, served time and prison, and paid significant monetary settlements to the victims involved." (Source email EFTA00784058, page 10-11 of 17.)
In response, Bannon asked, "This is awesome-- what is it?" (Source email EFTA00784058, page 11 of 17.)
To which Epstein replied, "This is what Kathy suggests we tell [Wapo] (Washington Post)." (Source email EFTA00784058, page 11 of 17.)

Just days ago, I reported;
Jeffrey Epstein asked the CIAās 2015 āAgency Medalā winner Kathy Ruemmler --former White House counsel to President Barack Obama and now the top lawyer at Goldman Sachs-- to show him her āversion of Washington one day, if possible CIA or NSA or boy stuff.ā
"of course," Ruemmler replied.
These exchanges occurred in 2015 while Epstein was a sex offender.

Earlier that day, I reported;
Kathy Ruemmler, a former White House counsel to President Barack Obama and now the top lawyer at Goldman Sachs, was awarded the CIAās āAgency Medalā by Director John Brennan on January 8, 2015 and then Ruemmler instantly told Jeffrey Epstein (a sex offender).
Ruemmler noted to Epstein, "John Brennan gave me the CIA Agency Medal (the CIA's highest award) this morning. How cool is that?"
Ruemmler left the Obama White House in 2014 and returned to private practice (Ruemmler was almost nominated as US Attorney's General in September of 2014, but withdrew her name from consideration due to "her close relationship with President Obama).
Ruemmler currently serves as Goldman's Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel. She is on the firmwide Management Committee and also serves on FINRA's Board of Governors.

Days later, I reported;
During a December 2011 recorded chat, Jeffrey Epstein bragged to a Columbia University doctor that Epstein contacted President Barack Obama directly and Obama told the sex offender that Obama would have given him a federal pardon (but that wasn't needed)
"I am trying to get a pardon, so Obama cannot pardon me, even though he would, he says. Because I didn't commit a federal crime," said Epstein (who, at that point, had only plead guilty to state charges in 2008 for solicitation of a child for sex). (Transcript EFTA02386175, page 22.)
Epstein went on to say, during the recorded discussion, "It's so horrible. This is just today, which has been part of the whole thing. If I want to get a pardon, it has to be done by the governor of the state because I pled guilty to a state crime." (Transcript EFTA02386175, page 22.)
Then, Epstein tried to remove his sex offender status via the Florida governor Charlie Crist, who refused (apparently because journalist Julie K. Brown was writing stories about Epstein at the time and, in turn, Crist thought it would look like Epstein paid him off for the pardon).
Explained Epstein, relaying a conversation with Crist "No one is going to believe that you haven't gotten to this guy." [Crist] said, "They're going to figure out you paid him some money." (Transcript EFTA02386175, page 22.)
"Crist is your ticket," Richard told Epstein. (Transcript EFTA02386175, page 23.)
"That's not such an easy ticket now. [Crist] said it's just so hot," Epstein replied. (Transcript EFTA02386175, page 23.)
To which the Columbia doctor advised, "[Crist is] making it hot. It's not hot. There were those foolish article's in - what was her name? Tina Brown's [Julie K. Brown] thing. I mean, they dissipated. It's not hot. It's dead." (Transcript EFTA02386175, page 23.)
{Note; the Columbia doctor (who appears to be Richard Axel) did not know Julie K. Brown's name and called her "Tina." I am offended.)
For two very smart people, both Epstein and Richard made a drastic error regarding whether the reporting by Julie Brown would, indeed, render Epstein's charges, and the floodgates of information about his conspirators and survivors, "dead."
Here is the primary source transcript of the conversation (Obama/Crist discussion starts page 22 of 34) - justice.gov/epstein/files/Daā¦
Further, in the shocking transcript, Epstein and the doctor (along with a woman who went to MIT named Jessica) talk about how women have brains that are 10% smaller than men.
"For example women who have 10% less - well, they have 10% less neurons in the brain, virtually," said Epstein. (Transcript EFTA02386175, page 7.)
"Right," Richard replied, going on to tell Epstein, "I think that the only thing that correlates with intelligence is brain-to-body size, if you go through species. It's the relative size of the brain with respect to the body. And the relative size of the human brain is most restricted, I think, by the size of the vaginal vault." (Transcript EFTA02386175, page 6.)
The two men also discuss modifying viruses to make them more able to replicate and survive within human hosts and they talk about Katie Couric being horrified at the prospect of Prince Andrew and Epstein cloning themselves.
Said Epstein, "Right. Katie Couric was here and we were talking about... I think we should, I want to start cloning things, me. And with certain people, Prince Andrew got upset because he was all, "If it had a conscience, could you kill it for spare parts." And I said, "I'll make it without a head, would that make you feel better?" And Katie Couric, I thought, was going to start to vomit." (Transcript EFTA02386175, page 7.)
I have sent the following two questions to the Goldman Sachs media department, and I await their response:
Does Goldman Sachs have any comment on Kathy Ruemmler disclosing to Jeffrey Epstein that she won the CIA's Agency Medal on 1/8/2015? (Related question: Was Kathy Ruemmler a CIA agent during her time in President Obama's White House?)
Does Goldman Sachs have any comment on Kathy Ruemmler inviting Epstein, then a convicted sex offender, to D.C. for "NSA, CIA and boy stuff" in December of 2015? (Related question: Can Kathy Ruemmler clarify what "boy stuff" means in that context?)

Kathryn Ruemmler-types, Wall Street bankers, and big tech creeps are the readership of Matt Yglesias. Obama nearly picked Ruemmler to be his AG!
Democrats need to kick them out of the party and draw in working class people to replace them, or we will not be able to govern.
It genuinely makes me sick to my stomach that Kathryn Ruemmler was joking with Epstein about sending āyour Russiansā to perform sexual favors on her behalf. This woman was about to be US Atty General under Obama. Sheās still top lawyer at Goldman! She was joking about sex slaves! We know Epstein purchased his āassistantsā when they were children!
