Basically Australia has chosen a bad government over a bad opposition.

The American people made their voice clear on Tuesday: CARRIER AVIATION IS HERE TO STAY, the "BATTLESHIP" is a RELIC OF THE 20TH CENTURY which must STAY THERE, the defunding of DDG(X) must be IMMEDIATELY REVERSED, and EMALS is AMERICA'S CATAPULT SYSTEM.

83,000 is around 0.2964% of the Australian population.
Not exactly chart-topper metrics by anyone's measure.
You'd think so but it would be very on brand for politicians to learn the wrong lessons from this.
I still believe that saying “hurt people, hurt people” about a Hezbollah affiliated terrorist attempt to murder Jewish toddlers a Michigan synagogue preschool should have been disqualifying for him.
Michigan's Democratic candidate for Senate Abdul El-Sayed confronted @jamesmatthewsky, telling him he wouldn't answer his questions as he wants "zero" votes in the UK.

The sale is a bad idea but yea nah 2 million people aren't voting on it.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been warned that he could haemorrhage two million Labor voters if he does not have Defence Minister Richard Marles reverse a hugely controversial decision.

I think Hegseth will be out by the end of the year.
Senator Tillis (R-NC) warns Secretary Hegseth that he's coming for him in the lame duck.
TILLIS on CBS: "....But Pete Hegseth has a reckoning. Uh, he, he is one of the reasons why we don't have the funding or guarantee for defense that we need. I think after the election, we need to determine whether or not he's the best person to bring those needs to congress. If he wants something done before the end of this congress, which is only 60 days away."

Democrats are going to over-read this. Voters don't like them; they just really really really don't like Trump now.
Beyond the low budget double speak that is the 'wine bottle' nonsense, this incident raises questions.
Is the PRC supplying shells to someone it doesn't want to be seen supplying shells to?
Beijing calls this object, intercepted in a PRC-linked commercial shipping container by PNG authorities, a "shell-shaped wine bottle". 🤷🏽♂️ abc.net.au/news/2026-11-03/p…

Sure, this is a bloodbath, but once again it's important for Republicans to remember that it was the price to pay for a war that was started for no reason and that accomplished absolutely nothing of value except killing a bunch of people and making everyone poorer.
This is fine. The RAN already has a robust containerised MCM capability and plenty of hulls to operate them from...right?

The Manchester Canal Pusher, who killed his victims by pushing them into the canal where they drowned. Tended to target students clubbing on weekends. He was never identified. Then one day they installed railings along the canal and his killing spree stopped
I was just thinking today, what's the most "solved" unsolved mystery?
I think my favorite is Amy Bradley. She disappeared after going out drinking until 4 AM on a cruise ship and was last seen sitting on a balcony drunk off her ass and every youtube video on the subject thinks it's more likely she was kidnapped by white slavers and sex trafficked to a brothel in Curacao than that she drunkenly fell off a boat

This is why we literally built Canberra.
How absurdly Sydney centric is the RBA?
It will again be making an interest rate announcement when there is a public holiday in Melbourne. It is impossible to imagine a scenario when the RBA would make an interest rate annoucenment when there is a public holiday in Sydney.
The ABS is not releasing any data, the AOFM is not issuing bonds or Notes, yet the RBA is making a key interest rate announcement.
It is a big deal.
This more than an irritation, but self indulgent slop from the people who chose the dates on RBA interest rate announcements. Like meeting the day before inflation data are released as it was in September.
