Starting 11/1/23, the @MayoClinic #carillon in #RochMN will have a new schedule:
Mondays at 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday at 12:00 p.m.
This new schedule should give more people a chance to listen to recitals and help keep the recital schedule more consistent. 🔔
Well, scratch that—there was a bit of a misfire with scheduling so this will be at 11:00 instead of noon. I’ll record the audio and get that uploaded for anyone who wants to listen but can’t make it downtown or watch the livestream!

Good morning, #RochMN! I’ve been out in Connecticut for most of this week on a guest recital trip but I’m back on the bench. 🔔 The theme for today’s recitals is… can you guess? 😉
Today at noon and 4:45, #RochMN is taking a trip across the pond and spending the afternoon in Spain! It’s not too hot and there’s a pleasant breeze outside—why not come out and enjoy the music downtown? 😎🔔 Livestream is in the pinned tweet if you can’t make it.

Finishing up lunch with our guest recitalist for this afternoon, Kayla Gunderson, visiting #RochMN from Chicago! Come downtown at 2:00 sharp to hear her perform a recital of folk songs, carillon originals, and even a special pop tune. 😉🔔

Howdy, #RochMN! You might have noticed some radio silence the last week… I was in Cohasset, Massachusetts attending the 80th Congress of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America!
Coincidentally, all three instruments were, at one time or another, entirely composer of bells by Gillett & Johnston, who cast the first 23 bells of the @MayoClinic carillon back in 1928.
Coming up today at 12:00--a musical tribute to the most famous bell in the world, Big Ben! The bell, cast by Whitechapel foundry, is famous for its crack and distinctive sound... We can't replicate that here, but the "Big Ben Fantasy" is still a fun piece nonetheless. 😉🔔
