Heads must roll everywhere. How do you receive such petitions, ignore them and sleep soundly at night??

We do not protect the future generations in this country. 19 girls. Complaints reportedly reached the education directorate in March. It took a documentary in October for things to move. 7 months later?! A country that only ‘acts’ when cameras arrive. Kai!

This was the sensible thing to do immediately the documentary came out. Now it seems like the decision was made after public pressure.
The NDC has directed Mr Zakaria Abdulai to step aside from the Juaben Constituency Election. End.

This is why some feminists were quiet when a female veep was appointed. A woman being in a position of power is not enough, it has to be a woman who cares and is willing to use her power to fight for women.
Older women and women in positions of authority have to do so much better. So disappointing.

It looks like politics strips people of their conscience.

'…condemning people based on emotion.’ Ah, you people are very dangerous and evil. How have we allowed politics to strip us of basic human dignity and common sense ??

And the issue with throwing the presumption of innocence as a standard is the problem many have with legal education in this country. You can't have basic conversations in this country without people throwing legal jargon all over. What at all are we teaching as law in our schools. Presumption of innocence is a legal standard. Strictly speaking, that belongs in a courtroom. It is not a universal shield to be thrown up every time a moral or ethical question demands an answer. Nobody here has suggested that the headmaster be thrown in jail without a hearing. The legal process will take its course. That is not at all what is being debated. The conversation here is about the ethical and moral standards that political parties and institutions are expected to hold themselves to. When 19 children come forward with allegations of sexual abuse, rape, and defilement, serious institutions do not hide behind legal mantras. They take a principled stance. They act. They make it unambiguously clear where they stand. The NDC itself should have hurriedly put together a major investigation and act. That is the conversation. Not the legal one. The moral one. And on that standard, invoking innocent until proven guilty is not a defence. It is an evasion.

They took the shorts he ejaculated on and we never got any report on it. We are actually in hell man. Do you know how brazen you must be to actually ejaculate on the shorts of a minor you just raped?? He left evidence because he knew nothing would happen. And nothing did!! Wtf

The NDC sold itself as a party that cares about women and protects our interests. Yet, since coming into power, it has repeatedly failed us. How do you claim to stand for women while downplaying allegations of sexual abuse involving 19 SHS girls?

What happened to protecting vulnerable girls and holding those responsible accountable? Women and girls deserve more than empty promises and performative concern. Shame on all of you

And with Ghana having its first female Vice President, shouldn’t we be seeing stronger leadership and a more decisive response when the safety and dignity of young girls are at stake? What is she doing about all this???

Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is Ghana's first female Vice President and a former Minister of Education. Nineteen girls in a public SHS have come forward and we're still waiting for her to say something. Madam VP if not this then what?

They watched this documentary, heard teenage girls tell such harrowing stories of sexual assault, and still decided this man was fit to represent their party. This, from a party that presents its Female Vice President as proof of its pro-women and pro-girls stance. Yoo!

F Nonsense mother figures rubbish! The MCE Faustylove pissed me off so much. Talking about as a mother I told them to bring the girl to face her abuser?! Like?!!!! F failures. I’m so pissed off
Stop giving Gender minister appointments to women who cannot work! Reserve it for the ‘mad women’ who can raise hell. The so called ‘mother figures’ are failing us.

They tell you a headmaster is abusing and taking advantage of young girls and your response is that he has a weakness for girls. What sort of incompetent leaders and apologists do we have in offices like that?
