Doing our cash flow and farm projections for the next 12m at the moment. Thought i’d share it in a basic form so people get an understanding the vital role ag play is in local economy’s. Please share, especially with Labour MPs… Thankyou.
Some pure-quality fish & shellfish on the counters this morning. That Scottish Halibut looks pretty special though.

Replying to @timspector @lowcarbGP
For 50 years supermarkets have trained consumers to think that price matters most.
Chicken is cheap because supermarkets demand it.
The majority of consumers now prize low price (even people on good incomes).
Consumers in the English-speaking countries also value big portion sizes and that also keeps them focused on price. Portion sizes in the UK are always shocking - double what goes on the plate in France.
It’s not a “food system” problem, it’s a food culture problem.
The Saturday show! A bounty of fish & seafood from Scotland, Ireland & Morecambe Bay. The most beautiful Scottish Cod & Turbot from Peterhead, Creel caught langos from Ullapool. Huge king scallop meat from Shetland the finest @westerrosssalmon salmon.

Thank you @parkersarms for asking us to sponsor the coffee @Top50Gastropubs
The food was stunning, with the best fish pie ever, served beautifully despite adverse conditions.

Every city, town, village, community, high street, is now being affected by Hospitality closures.
We’re witnessing closures like we’ve never seen before.
A VAT REDUCTION WOULD STOP THIS.
We need everyone behind this, operators and especially the public.
SAVE HOSPITALITY
Some immaculate Scottish Red Gurnard delivered to @top50gastropubs Number 1 @theparkersarms! It's beautiful up on the trough of Bowland today!
Hand Dived Scallops from Orkney and some superb Day boat Red Gurnard from 🏴.
Perhaps my favourite shellfish & fish, both at their best. Scallops roasted in their shell with a buttery concoction and Gurnard fillets dropped into a fish tomato based stew/soup.

As an independent Greengrocer it really fecks me off the Supermarkets giving produce away until the government step in to stop selling produce under production or cost price this country is fecked & there will be no independent business left it’s a Race to the bottom
Not a bad effort considering the poor weather throughout this week. Although this is the easy job. All thanks to the hard working fishermen who make it possible!

One hundred per cent agreement with @GavinBarwell here - and the trees in Paris are a real example of what we could be achieving in London and aren’t!
