Stop the silly games, @elonmusk. India isn't going to be bullied. The nation that produced the cheapest mobile data and the most efficient payments network through fair competition doesn't take lectures from a man whose biggest factory is in China that banned Starlink. My views:

Modi govt has achieved a historic milestone by securing the deportation of hardened narco-trafficking kingpin Navpreet Singh from Türkiye. Obtaining Turkish citizenship under the fake identity of Navab Virk, he had continued to smuggle heroin and methamphetamine to India from Afghanistan. Our agencies tracked him down, ripping apart veil after veil to unmask his true identity, and secured his deportation. Today he has been brought back to India and put behind bars in connection with cases involving drug trafficking and other crimes he is accused of. Congratulations to all the agencies for this success. Modi govt is committed to destroying every narco-cartel before Dec 2029.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery. Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster. He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals. I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery. He is a true hero.

AI TLDR (Grammarly, 2026): My role at hosting.com is ending at the end of the month due to restructuring, but I'm open to new opportunities in business development and consulting, with a strong focus on AI integration and collaboration. Human Version: My time as Partnerships Lead for North America at hosting.com ends this month due to restructuring. When I was at hosting.com, I was invited to join the Forbes Agency Council and now lead their hosting group. I also changed my perspective on using AI after I earned my AI certificate from MIT Professional Education last year. I was probably the heaviest Microsoft Copilot user at the company. I helped write playbooks, build agents, and train colleagues to use our Enterprise Data Safe AI (in this case, Microsoft Copilot) in their daily workflows without replacing the human connection our clients deserve. If you need support with partnerships, developer relations, business development, or sales, I would love to connect. I am also taking on project and consulting work as I explore new opportunities. Feel free to explore my AI experiments at MikeDemo.dev, and reach out if you'd like to collaborate or discuss new opportunities. Thank you to Seb and Panos for their trust, Olly for perspective, and Jordan, Liam, Katie, Cory, and Aaron, all of whom I truly loved working with. Most of all, I appreciate the clients and agencies who made hosting.com a community. PS. I will be at Out in Tech Leadership Institute this week in NYC if you want to get a coffee. I’m looking for a few indie makers, hackers, builders and SaaS owners to beta test something I’ve been building. It’s built to make customer support easier when you’re running one or multiple products. We’re freemium, with a genuinely generous free tier, so you can get started without pulling out your credit card. I’m looking for people who will actually use it and give me brutally honest feedback. Interested? Comment below and I’ll DM you.

A 15-year-old dream has come true today. I started a PhD with the dream of creating a system that chants any Sanskrit shloka perfectly. And here I am opening sourcing 𝐕𝐚𝐠𝐝𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐮 - 𝐀 𝐯ṛ𝐭𝐭𝐚 (𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫) 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 ś𝐥𝐨𝐤𝐚-𝐭𝐨-𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭-𝐭𝐨-𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡 (TTS) 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐤𝐫𝐢𝐭. This is the world's first vrutta-aware, open-source TTS for Sanskrit Chanting.

Two months ago I was fired by Google for creating the Google Workspace CLI. It went viral, hit #1 on Hacker News, gained thousands of GitHub stars and many thousands of actual users in just a couple days. It was an incredible, confusing journey, from directors and leaders asking what they could learn from the tool to getting grilled by legal about why the Google logo and brand colors are on the Google Workspace GitHub code repositories. I think the cause was that Workspace and certain leaders (and projects) were afraid of being disrupted. But the fear wasn't specific to my CLI, it was a broader fear in what agents meant for Workspace. Either way, the irony of my termination was the announcement at Google Cloud Next two days before I was fired that an official Workspace CLI was coming. I want this out there because it is easier for me to explain my story and it is an experience I want to fully own. It's also part of my healing. Nearly 7 years at Google was an incredible opportunity for me and I was fortunate to have wonderful teammates and a manager that fully supported me through these last few months. Thank you.

AI slop is definitely taking over the internet, but I think a lot of people's work is being unfairly labelled as slop. There's a clear difference between AI slop and intelligent AI-assisted content: - AI slop is created with a lazy and minimal prompt, whereas quality AI-assisted content has a carefully curated prompt supported by skills aiming to accurately mimic the writer's tone and avoid obvious AI giveaways. - AI slop is published as-is, whereas quality AI-assisted content is thoroughly vetted by the human driving it, with multiple rounds of feedback and iterations. For example, I use AI in practically all my work, but wouldn't dream of publishing anything without oversight. However hard I try to teach it my voice and preferences, it never gets it completely right and always needs a human touch. Do you agree? What else should I add to this list?

A joyous moment for every Indian! Chola Copper Plates dating back to the 11th Century will be repatriated to India from the Netherlands. Took part in the ceremony for the same in the presence of Prime Minister Rob Jetten. The Chola Copper Plates are a set of 21 large plates and 3 small plates and largely contain texts in Tamil, one of the most beautiful languages of the world. They relate to the great Rajendra Chola I formalising an oral commitment made by his father, King Rajaraja I. They also showcase the greatness of the Cholas. We in India are immensely proud of the Cholas, their culture and their maritime prowess. I thank the Government of the Netherlands and Leiden University in particular, where the Copper Plates were kept since the mid-19th century. @MinPres
