Reworked this a little for rounds 1-7 since 2010, redefining a draft "hit" as a player that signed a second deal anywhere above market value (more on that below). Makes the threshold for a "hit" a little higher, but nonetheless think it's revealing. Sure, you have a good chance of landing a successful IOL in R1, but you also do in R3. And your EDGE choice might be a coin flip in R1, but good luck in R3!
ESPN content producer @PaulHembo calculated the percentage of 1st-round picks that “hit” or “miss,” based upon whether that player signed a second contract with the team that drafted them.   The data encompasses the 20 drafts spanning 2000-2019. Here are the positional hit rates:

In the last week, @WSJ has written two articles about DOGE's scrutiny of Booz Allen Hamilton and the VA. I spent nearly the last two years with both. I wrote about it and how it could be that the people working in essential jobs aren't always essential workers. maxwhalen.org/blog/3bbb5734-…

This is a LIV Golf tweet
When you consider that you could run a fleet of 100,000 Twitter accounts with blue checks for less than $10 million a year, a foreign power that wanted to influence US politics would be pretty slack if they didn't try to create one.

For you newbies out there baffled at the talk of models and algorithms on golf twitter, let me tell you what an algorithm is. An algorithm is a formula that when you input all the numbers and data, the answer it always gives you is Doug Ghim

Some very simple math: if a country has 5% of the world's population and ability is evenly distributed, then 95% of the people who are best at any given thing will be born abroad.

The Phillies have played 3 games against teams over .500, yes. But if you take games against the Phillies out of their opponents’ schedules, they’ve played 11 such games. They’ve won 9 of them. Winning a lot of games makes it harder for your opponents to be above .500, especially early in the season.
The @Phillies become just the fifth team since 2000 to win 35 of their first 49 games.

In defining a draft "hit" the idea was to identify players that signed a second deal, anywhere, above the market value for their position. I judged this by APY as a percentage of the total cap. I excluded rookie deals when trying to find said median market value and only considered deals that were at least partially guaranteed. The Taysom Hill deal and others come to mind as edge cases that would cause some fluctuations in these numbers, but generally I think it's a decent proxy.
