As he walked up he flipped open his ticket book and I said “I bet you’re gonna sell me a ticket to the State Troopers Ball… He said, New York State Troopers don’t have balls… After a moment of awkward silence he closed the book, head nodded at me, and walked back to his car.

I was an intern at Disney's Animal Kingdom (Horticulture), so we entered animal pens. We were told all 6 Tigers were inside and secure. 2 of them were out when we entered. I damn near shit myself, and slowly backing out that 50' was terrifying. They didn't see us, obviously.

A happy moment. Mom died July 5th, Mom and Dad were married 52 years. I wasn't close with my father before Mom got sick. He's been texting me from Seattle, on a trip to see his brother. He misses me, and that feels great. I'm happy to finally have a life with my father.
