I wouldn't be where I am today if my school hadn't given me the opportunity to work my tail off and use its esports program as a platform for my own growth as Ashley discusses. Over the last six years, I've watched some directors never do the same for their students. Instead of creating opportunities, they resulted to holding onto their program's socials and going for quick fixes. As a result, their brand reputation among students lowered across the country. Students know how to see through the facade when they scroll down and see Ai graphics, 5 like posts, and clear praying to go viral with forced shortform. It brings into question every achievement you yell from the mountaintops. You don't need to have a crazy output or get all of these skilled people as many directors are trying to get at. You just need a good plan to use what you already have, be authentic to the student experience in your coverage, and be someone who fosters growth.

Hey college esports peeps! If there are any 🎨's who are into college esports and would want a really unique opportunity to do some cool work. Looking for a few current college students, please DM me on discord with your rates and portfolio/past work. disc: Osiren
