I had a jolly time volunteering at the Flora Stevenson summer fair yesterday. Luca and I did a roaring trade at the candy floss stand!
Well done to all the parents and staff on another super event.
🕙Super visit today inside Saint Stephen’s clock tower to learn about the solution found to get the much-loved clock & monument ticking reliably on the correct time once again.
📏Fun fact! The clock’s pendulum is the longest in Europe at 65ft.

We're on the big screen! This morning we gave a deputation to @Edinburgh_CC on why the dangerous junction at Telford Road & Hillhouse Road in Edinburgh needs urgently upgraded.
No tactile paving, no cones under the wait box & no audible signals means this crossing is not safe.

Tomorrow is the launch of our #SafeSlowStockbridge road safety campaign. We are looking forwards to welcoming @AngusRobertson, our ward councillors and police. Great work from our our P6/5 class, their teacher, Miss Devine, and our road safety community partnership group!
It was great to join the @EdinPolNW team on their roads policing action day. Today the team did speed checks & patrols outside primary schools.
Very interesting to learn more about their work. A particular highlight was being allowed to try the handheld speed camera!👮🏻♂️👮🏼

Amongst yesterday’s Council budget drama was the crucial detail of agreement from every political party to support The King’s. This extra £3m, + ScotGov’s revealed today, allows the project to preserve our city’s treasured King’s Theatre to start next week. So pleased🎭💖
