My wife and I both fell in love with Pokopia, and I wanted a guide that felt as good as the game does.
So I built one.
Pokopanion is out today — your companion for the long game. Lost Bulbasaur again? Save where you put every Pokémon and always know where they live. Roommate suggestions pair like-minded Pokémon so one habitat keeps them all happy. Personal notes on anything, and plenty more.
Absolutely wild. Walked into Apple Store Downtown Boston, in the middle of the afternoon, and they had one for me 🤩
New: Accenture has told employees it will only fund $29 per month of Claude use. Meaning that employees who often spend as much as $1,000 a month are now scrambling to find ways to keep access to the tool. A sign of the continuing crack down of AI 404media.co/accenture-tells-…
What’s up with the rise of this flow? Used passwords for over a decade. Apple introduces Passkeys which were rapidly adopted, then almost overnight sites switched to emailing me a temporary code, and removed the password option altogether 🙃

Entirely Petty headline. Love it or not. And, yes, I do. The film delivers in scale, ambition and reach at a theatrical screen level. Daring, bold and Cinematically complex. Decidedly a Theatrical experience.
The theater experience won't change your mind on Digger, and the laughs that are there still will be when it hits HBO Max.

The strangest change made in iOS 27 makes even less sense with the Duo. Navigation bars now cut through the network indicator. It does not look good.
iPhone Duo support is coming along for Television Time. Needs some work, but is a good start. Can't wait to try the Duo in person next month 🤩

Not sure if I know any UIKit engineers on here, but in case I do:

UICollectionViewCell incorrectly has zero default layout margins on iPhone Duo
The one downside. Hope Apple adds an option to customize
iPhone Duo looks incredible. The software redesign and enhancements is a masterclass. Can’t wait to experience it in person.
Once a movie feanchise gets into 4+ movies, each entry becomes the new “end.” It’s part of the DNA of the movie and the marketing. Like Toy Story 3, 4, and 5 all feel like endings.
What I love about Brand New Day is that it feels like a beginning.
Sony Pictures boss Tom Rothman says "yes" when asked if there's a world where Tom Holland returns for "Spider-Man 5."
"The honest truth is we don’t know at this point. ['Brand New Day'] has been the focus of our studio for almost two years. I can tell you this: I certainly, certainly hope [Tom comes back]. I heard Tom say at some point that he wanted to continue, and we would love it if he did."

It’s never been easier to clone UI, but UI does not a product make.
Much of what makes Flighty great is invisible. It’s all the data they aggregate and all the clever ways their backend processes that data to deliver notifications at just the right moment or reliably update the Live Activity.
And let’s not mistake cloning a UI for “building an app”. The real meat of “building” is the thousands of product decisions made over the past 7 years that make Flighty Flighty.
If you want to clone an app’s UI, you can do it in a weekend. If you want to build a product people care about, AI does speed things up, but there are still thousands of decisions that go into building a great app.
