major life updates: I'm joining @giotto_ai as Head of Brand! 🔥
I'm beyond excited to be joining the team in Lausanne to build out a brand that challenges the current AI landscape and offers AI that is sovereign, private and efficient.
there's no doubt that AI is also one of the most burgeoning technologies of our lifetime, and the chance to work at its frontier feels exhilarating..
on top of that, to work alongside @podesta_aldo team of world-class researchers and engineers feels genuinely surreal.
for the past three years I've been running @moodlabs_xyz with @camski and running our own company taught me more than I could ever imagine. I'm grateful for this experience and many lessons will remain with me for life!
now I'm ready to take on this challenge!
here in Lausanne, I'll help bring forth the inevitable: a euro renaissance led by Giotto!
Finally someone is saying how it is. Let’s stop the US-led AI doomerism
Perception shapes reality and if you’re feeding people doomerism you’re complicit in creating a very ugly reality @netflix
Thanks for speaking up against this nonsense @ClementDelangue
Just watched the @netflix Instadocs about the @OpenAI cyberattack on @huggingface. Super disappointing, as they went for maximum anthropomorphism of the technology and full doomer mode.
I spent more than two hours with them trying to correct all their mistakes and ground this in reality, explaining that agents are technological systems, not aliens. But it looks like the drive to scare people for maximum views was too strong.
Also, they didn’t mention the lack of containment and monitoring of the agents, how closed-model safeguards blocked our defensive work, or how we defended ourselves with AI using an open model. And that we still lack a lot of information and transparency, including full agent traces and that companies need to remain accountable for what their agents do.
It ends up being a fun sci-fi movie though!
one of the first things i learned when i really got into AI:
open source doesn't mean what i thought it meant
i assumed "open source model" meant the same thing it means for software. you can see how it was made, change it, rebuild it yourself
turns out most of the time it means open weights
labs and companies are very cleverly conflating these two terms

not a big fan of the name, but of all new EV car designs this feels EV within the lines of Porsche’s design language

this is how Anthropic sees the world
we see a 26B model running on $55 TV boxes and think "amazing, AI for everyone!"
they, however, see the apocalypse… enough with the doomerism
the future looks bright +
Anthropic is warning that “small AI models may be months away” from autonomously replicating across smart TVs, ovens, and other IoT devices without needing a datacenter.
Their researchers managed to run a 26B model across 15 cheap Android TV boxes costing $55 each, while a 9B model successfully configured inference on 8 of 9 different hardware types.
There was a separate, simplified experiment, where GLM-5.2 managed to propagate an 8B model across all 8 machines in 4 out of 5 trials. They even found that passing notes between successive agents improved task success from 45% to as high as 84%.
Anthropic is warning that an AI worm like this could be extremely difficult to contain because “there’s no centralized point to shut off.” They estimate smaller models could reach the necessary capability threshold by the end of 2026, potentially creating autonomous AI worms capable of adapting to unfamiliar hardware as they spread.
the AI fear mongering campaigns are literally preventing people from adopting and using AI in their day-to-day life
fear is a non-sustainable marketing strategy
The models are already good enough for everyday users. The problem is that most people never get to use what they can really do and only 0.2% have experienced its full potential while the other 99.8% still think llms are just free chatbots
The capability is already here so clearly what's missing is distribution, and by distribution I mean:
- Stopping fear mongering campaigns
- Education education education
- Real use cases
- Creator led storytelling
- Fair pricing
- Native integrations
- In-person reach
- Vertical products
- Builder programs
