No excuses for that display. I’ve been patient with this group, but too many are proving they simply aren’t good enough. Recruitment has left us desperately short of quality. Fleeting glimpses of potential every five or six games won’t cut it. Nowhere near good enough. #NCFC

Yes, a couple of wins now can quickly change the outlook, but there’s a worrying pattern emerging at our club and I just can’t see it happening. Opponents can sense the fragility and lack of belief in this side and they’ll continue to exploit it. #NCFC

Those players ought to be embarrassed. Such a lack of effort, fight and desire on a day honouring MWJ is shameful. The legends in attendance must be stunned by what they’re seeing. Clement has his work cut out. Feels just like the end of the Manning era. #NCFC

Today should be all about Michael Wynn Jones. An owner so many clubs could only dream of having and someone who gave so much to Norwich City. Hopefully the players can do him proud, put in a performance worthy of the occasion and get the three points we so desperately need. #NCFC

Deary me... The whole squad looks devoid of confidence, but Field and Stacey simply aren’t at the level we need. Both lack quality and athleticism. The way Stacey was beaten by his man was shocking and not for the first time. Nowhere near good enough at the moment. #NCFC

Whilst I’ve singled those two out, our so-called talents are hiding too. Only Wright and Kvistgaarden showed any fight tonight. We’re stuck in a cycle we can’t break. Too many clubs are ahead of us on and off the pitch. The whole structure feels broken. #NCFC

This has been going on far too long. We’ve become a bang average Championship side. Too many clubs overtaking us and getting things right while we keep making the same mistakes on and off the pitch. Yes, Swansea are top, but they barely had to get out of bed to beat us. #NCFC

Field 😕 Got to score… #NCFC

We go 2-1 down and Field comes on… Immediately lose Wright’s quality in deeper areas. Surely Musaba or Slimane was the better option? So frustrating because there’s so much promise in this squad, yet far too many players are underperforming! #NCFC

I’m hoping after this break we can settle on a core 9/10 starters and find some real consistency. We’ve managed fitness and avoided injuries well, but cohesion and repetition are so important if you want to build momentum and go on a run. Time to kick on now. #NCFC

Could end up being a lesson… we didn’t lay a glove, but it shows the levels between the two divisions. Not even sure we’d find the Prem much fun anymore 😂 We were never winning the cup though! Back to what matters now. Time to go on a run and into the break with a win. #NCFC

Seeing a lot of flak for individual players after a loss. Admittedly, a few important players have been a bit off it so far, but writing them off at this stage helps nobody. Give them time to play themselves into form… we know the quality is there. Keep the faith 💪🏼 #NCFC

That’s a sickening way to lose. A draw would’ve been fair, but you can’t defend like that and expect to get away with it. All four goals came from poor defending. Stupid foul from Stacey, but it stems from Vladan’s slip moments earlier putting us back under pressure. #NCFC

Positives: Wright was brilliant and completely changed the game for us. Great to see Makama back on the scoresheet too and credit for not folding at 3-1 and fighting back. Free hit on Thursday, then a chance to get back to winning ways next Sunday. Onwards and upwards. #NCFC

Jacob Wright, you deserve that! Come on, let’s go for it now, we can win this 😅 #NCFC

Brilliant win! Not at our best, but two great goals and plenty of fight until the end. Kvistgaarden deserves credit for his tenacity, especially first half, so underrated. Oscar’s ball retention was an issue, but his goal came at a good time. Great to see Makama back too! #NCFC

Superb result that! I’ll admit I doubted us today, but Clement and the players dug in and came through with a deserved win. Really solid second half to see it out and Kvistgaarden off the bench again showing he can play a big part this season 💪🏼 #NCFC

Two decent goals and two proper outlets out wide. Defensively still a bit suspect though, Ruairi should do better for their goal, while Kenny and Mattsson don’t quite seem on the same wavelength yet this season. Much better mentality after being under the cosh for a spell. #NCFC

Today will be a real test, no doubt about it. Time for the players to stand up to the pressure and adversity of these early games and show a bit about themselves. It’s a long season, but we don’t want to be playing catch up again. Time to get this season moving… #NCFC
