Half the designers I mentor always ask the same thing: "What's wrong with my portfolio? I've applied to over 100 roles and heard nothing."
Sometimes it's the portfolio. Sometimes the job was never real. Greenhouse says ~19% of postings last quarter led to zero interviews.
Texas is investigating LinkedIn over ghost jobs. Greenhouse puts it at roughly 3 in 5 postings getting applications and no interviews.
If you’re looking for jobs, don’t blame yourself too much cos your application might be going to a fake job listings.
Try other job listing sites out there not just LinkedIn.

I need to find the perfect PMF.
So I asked Claude to implement the survey system used by the founder of Superhuman to find the right users to focus on, and ignore the others.
In half a day the system was in place and the survey sent.

This is transhumanism… there’s a world where we just merge with AI and robots and that resolves the AI vs humanity conundrum.
Researchers wired a piece of dead human brain to a robot.. and it learned to play piano.
they took an adult human brain explant (yes, dead brain tissue), kept the neurons alive in a dish, and hooked it up to an anthropomorphic robotic hand equipped with a microphone.
they didn't use backpropagation. they didn't train a silicon neural net. they just let the biological brain tissue listen to the sounds of piano notes while the robot pressed the keys.
through pure unsupervised sensory-motor learning, the disembodied brain tissue mapped the audio frequencies to the physical motor movements.. and then it started controlling the robot hand itself to imitate the human piano playing it heard.
the brain tissue retained this new "memory" and bi-directional plasticity for several days.. it only stopped when researchers actively disrupted the electrical neurotransmission.
this is a massive leap for hybrids. we are moving past artificial neural networks and straight into using literal human neurons as biological processors for machines.
the line between biology and artificial intelligence is disappearing..

One month I had 12 projects. The next month I had 5.
Some wrapped up. Some retainer clients paused or downgraded. I never know when it's coming.
And it's scary having that conversation with a client who is about to leave. Every time I see that message I feel it in my chest.
I know it's part of the business. I accept it. But now it's time to figure out how to fill that pipeline back up.

this is very interesting..
an agent-first git platform..
especially the cloud agent feature.. I've tried multiple solutions for this problem..
But nothing seems to work seamlessly to run long sessions in the cloud.. when im not on my Mac..
best alternative so far for me has been Claude code web + github.. but it feels a bit clunky..
really hope Trylle does it for me.. excited to try it out...

Crazy how you can go from designing a little idea and execute so quickly now.

One of my favorite things about startups is seeing someone turn a weird little idea into a real business.
Will Giess noticed that newer MacBooks have an accelerometer that can detect movement.
So he built Knock, an app that lets you trigger actions on your Mac by literally tapping it.
Pretty random idea.
He gave free licenses to a handful of Reddit users, used their feedback to improve it, launched on Product Hunt, started making money and eventually listed the business on @acquiredotcom.
He got a bunch of buyer interest, negotiated a deal and sold the app.
His first app that really made money also became his first startup exit.
I love stories like this because founders sometimes spend forever looking for the “perfect” startup idea.
Sometimes you just notice something interesting, build it, see if anyone wants it and keep going from there.
Congrats Will. Pretty damn cool.

Today, I spend quite a lot of hours just to find the transition animation that feels "right".
And I have 2 top options, which is animated with some sort of subtle spring, and the other is kind of "instant" though the shrinking animation stays visible/perceptible by eyes.
I feel like the "instant" version is the best.
But what do you think?
