I don’t think people talk enough about how FUN vibe coding is. The amount of dopamine vibe coding releases for me is at least 10x more than traditional coding. Pre-AI coding was occasionally fun, but I often just found it frustrating. But now I can get so much done in one sitting that it’s kind of addicting.
It feels like playing an extremely satisfying video game, but one that actually creates something valuable in real life.

Technical moats are mostly over at this point. If you’re building something that is meant to be durable, the only moats now are:
• Proprietary data
• Network effects
• A physical component

There are both cyclical and linear elements of history. Right now, we are in a race between cyclical decline and linear takeoff. End of an empire, good times creating weak men etc vs exponential technological acceleration.
The ability to hold multi-perspectival viewpoints is one of the modern signals of greatness
I’m constantly surprised by the number of people who have zero ability to think about trade offs when discussing politics.
Politics, like life, is all about the incremental progress that lies in compromise. Progress then compounds.
So many people are stuck in a rut of “all or none”. It’s a self made prison.

i dont understand tariffs that well, but it seems like an odd time to be trying to bring human industrial manufacturing back to the US (for jobs) when it seems like ai and robots are about to take over all of it

Dear designer,
You're not cooked. It's not over. You just became 10x more powerful as long as you don't sit there and do nothing. You can move faster and build your ideas. You can provide the human touch that will be needed to stand out.
It's your time to shine if you adapt.
it feels like we’re now officially entering the future

AI Coding is the new No-Code! It's a fact.
Non tech founder, designers, marketers & anyone can build software now.
Zero entry barrier! No limitations! Super cheap!
But complex apps still need real coders; AI won't replace them til 2030.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't understand why Trump's rhetoric needs to always be so divisive. He could take the same actions but just do so with a more unifying / less hostile tone, and I think many more people that currently hate him would consider supporting him.
It feels like we're losing the ability to process the news at the pace the news now emerges. Too much is happening, and it seems like none of us really has enough time to properly analyze and come to conclusions before the next big story hits.
This isn't great, because it keeps us from being able to properly learn and grow as a society as things occur. Past eras had weeks or months or years to process and discuss events - we have barely a few hours.
We're constantly forced to move on to the new thing before we've integrated any lesson / understanding / wisdom from the last thing.
I don't know how AI will help with this, but I feel like it will somehow.

There is no one more incentivized to make the government run more efficiently than the man who holds the greatest number of (rapidly depreciating) dollars.
The designers of the future will be those who can tastefully design the subtle personalities and interaction models of AI systems for specific usecases.
People don’t want to use vanilla ChatGPT for everything.
They want some built-in attitude / soul / opinionated-ness in certain situations (when it adds value).
If you can nail that vibe for your usecase and pair it harmoniously with the function of the product, it will feel like magic.
