There is a huge amount of roster chaos going on behind the scenes right now. It's super hard to figure out what free agent players are worth picking up and how a roster could gel together. Every team being formed right now is a gamble. Ultimately, you won't know how good a player is until you actually work with them over a period of time, stats are erroneous all the time. This year my focus has been on trying to understand players better and learning to evaluate what matters the most. I feel pretty confident in that evaluation and so I wanted to try to add some clarity on a few players that I have had the pleasure of working with this summer for any team that is looking for talent in North America for 2027. @9nerve - FURIA made a mistake dropping nerve, plain and simple. He is one of the best smokes players available in NA. His utility is extremely good, his mid rounding is solid and he is exceptionally consistent in the clutch. In a team environment, nerve is a strong and opinionated leader but is also coachable and genuinely wants the best for his teammates. If I had financial backing to build a team from scratch he would be on my short list 100% as either main IGL or secondary caller. @icyJL - It took me one MFH game to understand why icy was signed to a powerhouse team like G2 and made it to multiple tier-1 internationals. He is a swiss army knife and genuinely good at 3 roles. Icy is an extremely stable player and capable of showing off "scrim icy" at crucial moments in games. He is an excellent teammate, very coachable and approaches every scrim and official with the professionalism expected from a tier 1 pro. @zanksval - I think any leaderboard player in NA knows who this kid is. Because the reality is that he probably will be the best player in North America in 2028 or 2029. Zanks reminds me of Aspas and Zekken in all the right ways. He's probably the most well rounded duelist player I have ever personally watched play the game. @ahm4xx - Raw talent backed by a super curious mind and unbridled enthusiasm for the game. It's not often that the youngest player on a team is the most important for bringing back a hard game or resetting after a loss. Ahm4xx has some of the best aim I've seen and he knows it which gives him an insane killer instinct in critical situations. His agent pool will continue to grow and I expect him to be a premiere entry prospect once his age catches up to his ability. @max_vli - Max is one of those players you need to actually watch play. He plays a supportive and team-oriented role where stats can be hard to come by. However, his aim is very good, almost every frag is an impact one and his utility placement is always excellent. Max is also one of the most coachable players and best communicators I've worked with despite being super young. There is a reason he's won more MFH tournaments than basically anyone else this year. I have also gotten to work a bit less extensively with some other extremely talented players that should be on every org's radar this year. But I also want to shout out everyone that has been down to hop in the scrim teams and push themselves this year. Car, Toozy, vita, Jackk, Alvin and Atlas are all insanely talented players. Any coach or GM that wants a more detailed recommendation for any of these guys, hit me up. 🫡
