Prof. John Mearsheimer on the risk of Israel using nuclear weapons against Iran:
‘There is no state on the planet that is more ruthless, more murderous, than the Israelis. So the idea that they would use nuclear weapons is certainly plausible.’
‘Israel could use a NUCLEAR WEAPON against Iran to assert dominance in the Middle East.’
—Matthew Hoh, Former Department of Defense & State Department Official, who resigned over the Afghanistan war.
‘For the Israelis, the reasons why they have nuclear weapons is to dominate the region. They didn’t create, they didn’t build their nuclear weapons in the 1960s to deter the Soviet Union. They built those nuclear weapons in the 60s to dominate the Middle East.
And if they are now in this war where they feel they cannot dominate, where perhaps their missile stocks are running low, Iran is clearly showing a missile and drone dominance over them.
They are overextended in places like Syria, Lebanon, throughout Palestine. That perhaps a nuclear weapon is what the Israelis need to assert their dominance in the region.
So I don’t dismiss these accounts of the use of possible use of nuclear weapons, and I am very much afraid that there is a significant possibility of their use.’

An Objectivist who understands Libertarian History that isn't confined to Ayn Rand?
This is a miraculous development.
Brother, you gotta read up on anarchist history.
The term "libertarian socialist" is a ressurection of the New Left in America in the 1970s.
But Déjacque coined the term "Libertaire" attacking Proudhon as a liberal. "Libertaire" then became synonymous with anarchist movements in France, Spain, Russia throughout the late 1800s. It fell from usage and there's a few sporadic uses of "libertario" in the failed Spanish Revolution in the 1930s.
Rothbard resurrects the term by creating "libertarianism." And, in English this word has always represented this movement.
The new left, Bookchin and others start calling themselves "Libertarian socialists" to differentiate themselves from both Libertarians AND communists.
So who first used the term "libertarian socialist" in English?
Benjamin Tucker, the American Individualist Anarchist, or what he called it in "Socialism: What It Is" (1884), Anarchistic Socialism, to differentiate from State Socialism.
Benjamin Tucker was the precursor to our ideology. He rejected collectivism, while similarly embracing "solidarity." His was a philosophy full of contradictions, crafting a more market friendly form of mutualism.
Benjamin Tucker supported private property rights, private police, voluntary wage contracts, rejected wealth and property distribution, and supported profit and rent but believed that without the state prices would equalize. He wanted to abolish IP and patents. He was more a Stirnerite than anything, rejecting natural law, and believed revolution was destructive, favoring abolishing state privileges.
That's the first guy to defend the term "libertarian socialism" or its proxies in English; the closest guy in the world to ancap at the time (except maybe other Anarcho-individualists like Warner, Spooner DeClaire).
TLDR. Libsoc is older than "libertarianism" but it was sporadic in usage, fell from favor, and the actual term "libertarian socialism" was only ever used less than a handful of times by proto-ancaps, and was instead used by the New Left in contrast to the libertarian movement of Rothbard.

Replying to @GR1FF1NONE
The process of restitution tends to be the retribution. And regardless, that someone cannot protest something without being hypocritical does not therefore make the thing just. A socialist cannot coherently protest his home being seized, that does not make the seizure just.
Yes, state socialist policies aren't free.
Like tariffs.

GOP midterm strategy:
If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate in the 2026 Midterm Elections, I’m going to give all adult citizens in the United States of America, $5,000! Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to signing those checks!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This repeats a promise Trump made in September 2026. The US has approximately 250 million adult citizens so the total cost would be over 1.25 trillion dollars. Congress must approve any such federal spending.
