It’s been a tough road for @UNCAvlMBB assistant coach @nm_dixon and his family after his oldest son was diagnosed with leukemia, but Wednesday during @CoachesvsCancer they celebrated his progress with the @UNCAvlBulldogs family.

As game two of the Seattle/Atlanta series is just underway, here's the story from my conversation with Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh and his parents on how special it is to be (sort of) back home!

Though UNCA's season is over, my Sports Director @Chris_Womack & our Ast Chief Photographer @mattycamera put together an Epic in-depth feature over the past half decade of UNCA men's basketball. You'll want to watch it twice over @WLOS_13

Baseball is the most relatable sport to me because it hates itself and can’t stop self sabotaging.
It was a fantastic experience to meet Elijah and learn about his experiences. Special kid with a great story.
The @ACAAthletics Lions are led by a team captain who knows all about perseverance and overcoming obstacles. One of the most impactful stories I’ve been a part of. Honored to tell the story with @mattycamera .

Hey @Chris_Womack and @MariaSantoraTV I've gotta nominate the trainer for the Swain Maroon Devils for this week's top 5 plays. Check out those hops! I spoke to her on the sidelines and she told me that if she gets hurt "who's going to take care of the players?" 10/10.
Very humbled and grateful to be a part of this story. Many thanks to the family for sharing their story with @AbsoluteLe and myself.

Come on, #MLB! Let my friend Dan go to the #FieldOfDreams game! HE’S THE DIRECTOR OF THE SHOELESS JOE JACKSON MUSEUM and he has to be his greatest fan. He just needs a seat, he’ll do everything else. If it weren’t for Shoeless Joe, there wouldn’t be a game, a movie or… a book.
There is no bigger fan of Shoeless Joe, and few who know more about him. There is no better ambassador for our museum, for your event, or for baseball. I have a deep love & appreciation for the history of the game, but love our current players, too (@TimAnderson7 is my favorite).

MLB and the Players Association are jointly responsible for this, but how absurd is it that a team can draft a player and choose not to sign him, as with Mets and Kumar Rocker -- and the player can't sign anywhere under the MLB umbrella? What a joke.

The @shoelessmuseum had a tough 2020 but it allowed them to strengthen from within to help spread their message even further! bit.ly/3y7veKl
